I'm really surprised that by now more people haven't worked out that while PGI are clearly always absolutely spot on with their feature release schedule esimates in regards to weeks/months/years; They frequently fail at specifying which planet's weeks/months/years those timescales actually pertain to, and that is where the confusion comes in for the rest of us.

They said UI 2.0 would be in October's PT...and it is. What's confusing about that?

Just the login screen...PT isn't open yet...but looks like UI 2.0 will be in.

You are seriously suggesting that in general, aspirational dates for feature sets for this game tend to not just come and go, with features being pushed further and further back?

I'm glad to see some actual evidence for ui2.0, but it should have been here a long time ago.

No I am suggesting that so far, UI 2.0 is on track with the timeframe that they have stated. They said it would be in October's Public Test and it looks like they are holding to that.

So I'm not sure what the OP is talking about with regard to UI 2.0 being "slipped date."

UI2.0 was previewed on the 21st. Did you miss it? Here you go.

making a statement like the OP is just as bad as those that defend PGI in every decision it makes. Yes just about every ETA they have given us has been blown past but stating a 2015 date is a bit much. I personally have no faith in PGI at the moment due to past experience but that's a bit much even for me. I mane really??? For those defending PGI at every turn.... really? If you can't acknowledge that PGI has done a horrible job with PR and making deadlines. Many players have lost most of if not all of their faith in PGI to deliver at this point. It's time to put up or shut up.

Why is this an issue? In the October Update it says..

It's not really a slipped date. OP is just blowing things out of proportion and just trying to create a fuss. This coming week is either the 24th or 31st. And DX11 is likely going to come with it. They showed off the option to change in one of their livestreams on ui2.0...

Will never happen. PGI knows that if they were to put both of those things in the same patch, the troll`s heads would collectively explode and crash the universe ;)

No DX 11 is coming with UI2.0 because there are elements in UI 2.0 that require DX 11 to function.

no we go to public test first, which were targeting this coming week for.

That was the 20th, so it was their plan to have UI2 on the PT server this last week. It didn't happen; so my guess is that we will get to test it on the 31st, which is a thursday in october, a thing many people here seem to have forgotten.

I have to say, the depths that PGI seems to expand my cynicism never seems to amaze me. Sadly I find myself rather amused that they yet again have managed to not say a damn thing without so much as a progress report. Okay to be fair, they didn't give us a hard guarantee that it would be this month by their language. However, there is only so many times you can soften the credibility of your company before people simply stop taking your word seriously. As far as progress reports go, I suppose they did do that twitch preview of UI 2.0 and moonbase. My "favorite" part of the video was when Bryan didn't say a word through out the whole thing, not a word about the map structure, not a word about the mechbay, not really much about anything really (I guess the talking points for the preview must have been redacted or something before airing). Aside from that oddity, I would imagine given PGI's prior commitment to "keeping things closer to the chest" until its ready to be released- post 3pv- that the fact they were willing to preview it on twitch as a sign that they were going to be releasing the UI 2.0 and map to the test server shortly thereafter. Which leads me to believe either one of two thing, Either they are having difficulties with managing their priorities and scheduling, or they are suffering from yet another failure in communications both internally, as well as externally.

Clearly you did not realize that he was talking the whole time, but the sound was FUBAR, what with the weird echoes. Also get over yourself pal, you're one of many players waiting, patiently or not, for UI 2.0, and crying about it on the forums wont make it come any faster.

Yeah I just got that update too. The MWO Public Test patcher has a new patch since last week's build though.
