Ornithologists have a rather easy time in MWO. "Yup, it's a raven." Entomology is at least a little more challenging. And the herpetology is probably going to remain pretty dull unless they include the Salamander some time...

Herpaderpology, however, will always remain in need here at MWO

I'm even making the badge myself. I think it will have a Locust in a cowboy hat.

Was that in the LCT-1V, LCT-3M, or LCT-3S? And, for the contest, does it matter?

It doesn't matter for the contest, but I did it in the 1V.

Max XL Engine, AMS, 4 MGs, 1 ML.

The trick to Locusts is to only fight when you want to, not when other people want to. It's straight a stick and move game. You come from unexpected angles, fire until the enemy starts to turn, then leave. Watch your minimap, then repeat the process, either with the same 'Mech or another. And never commit to anything you can't kill in 3 seconds or less.

Basically. This is a competitive game. If the guy you're fighting isn't pissed at you then you're playing correctly. Since Locusts can't do the "OMG WHAT HIT ME HAX HAX HAX!!!" style anger they have to do the, "Hold still you little... Damn piece of... Every time I turn around I have a light shooting my rear torso! Someone kill the little SOB!" style.

Except don't always aim for the rear torso. Aim for wherever the 40 Pinpoint Alpha aimbotting haxxor dude shot. Remember kids, be like LoPan. Get 4 kills with 200 damage. Every bullet counts, MechWarrior!

Is having a 3.6 KDR in a Locust a sign of insanity?

Thanks to only having played two games I'm currently at 6.0 on my Jenner. I almost don't want to take it out again
