Update Holiday information
We hope everyone enjoys the holidays & New Years with family & friends! We just wanted to let everyone know the upcoming schedule of NGNG so that you guys are aware of a few things.
Dec. 22nd – IGP Twitch Play with PGI & NGNG
Dec. 24th – Comic #11 goes live & NGNG Holiday Newsletter
Jan. 2nd – Podcast #56 Recording
Jan. 9th – Podcast #57 Recording
Jan. 10th – Mechs, Devs & Beer #6 Recording
Tentatively we will be going live with Podcast’s: 54, 55 & MD&B 5 – Why are these not out yet? How long does it take to edit a podcast? Well that is a loaded question, but let’s look at a few key factors:
First & most importantly, Daeron & Phil are trying to get NGNG to be their main job. We still have not hit this goal, but we are working toward it each day. So that being said, the editing podcast’s come second in their lives because at the end of the month there are bills to pay and families to take care of.
Secondly, editing a podcast isn’t just taking out the mistakes. As many of you know, the end product sounds and feel’s different then the live recording. We are not all in the same place and recording on Teamspeak 3, albeit the best solution currently, is not the ideal situation for perfect audio recording. It takes around 20+ hours to get a final podcast done and out to you guys, and that is the idle editing scenario.
We are very grateful you guys are patient, and we know your excited to get a new podcast and listen to it at work etc. After the holidays we are taking on a different recording/editing schedule that should fit very well. We plan to record on Wednesday’s for the normal podcast and have it out by Friday, that is a 48hr turnaround. Mechs, Devs & Beer will be recording on Thursday’s still, but will be released the following Monday, this gives us some freedom to enjoy the weekends with family.
Our new website will be going live after the New Year, we have invested some time and effort into making it more functional then the current. We know that streamlining things makes life easier for you to get information quickly and know where to go if you need specific information on the website. The new website will include; overall improvement in functionality, a new store system that will allow us to put items at a lower cost to everyone and the ability to track inventory, better placement of sponsored units links (Phil said he wanted to give you guys front page space and he did it). We are also
looking at including a Forum of some sorts, in which the website and the forum are able to tie into each other for improved accessibility!
We are also looking at going live with some new content in the near future, as we get closer to these launching we will inform you of what they are and how we are going to tackle them. Have a great holidays and we thank you so much for supporting NGNG, it is amazing to see where we have come in over a year!
