Should they also give you your CBs back for ERPPCs? Since they are horrible now.

^This, It's the nature of a "living" game. I have a rack of ERPPCs and a Seismic Sensor module collecting dust in my "garage." But I used them all heavily for awhile. C'est la guerre.

Massive nerf to Lights who need to be in constant motion, but I guess it'll make 360 target retention more useful. Guess I'm saving up my GXP again.

Whoa. Good point. I hadn't thought of that.

I second this; if you are going to nerf it into the ground just take it out and give us our C-bills and GXP back.
Please?

Third here. I got somewhat 25 of seismics and that's a hellofalot CBs wasted since product ain't anymore what I payed for.

Who needs ghost heat when you can cook yourself with your basic loadout. You put ERs on that thing and you might as well sell cooked eggs out the window to the local lawn crews.
S

Ok, no ER. Just PPCs and no more cooked eggs for hungry pilots. :)

I am expecting a refund on Seismic Sensor to the full extent, all 6M CBs and GPX spent. This is not what I previously bought and it is Bait-and-Switch selling. I would never buy such Seismic Sensor.

I still see Seismic being real useful for the big boys. Especially something like the long-range guys, that aren't moving much (or guys that are holding a position for one reason or another), for detecting a light creeping up on them or seeing where an enemy is going to pop over the ridge.

Massive nerf to Lights who need to be in constant motion, but I guess it'll make 360 target retention more useful. Guess I'm saving up my GXP again.

So ... buff to jump snipers ... another nerf to their natural predators.

Seismic Sensors will always be useful in my opinion and aside from their range being brought down, who gives a {Scrap}? Okay, so mechs that aren't moving shouldn't be detected. The crying is why? If you're not moving, you don't make any vibrations in the ground. Come on people, standard knowledge if you've ever watched Tremors. Don't move, and they can't find you. Duh. The only thing that should be tweaked with Seismics is okay. Weapon's fire will not affect detection. Agreeable for missile and energy weapons. But ballistics should affect it because of discarding shells and the VERY loud dakka vibrations. Nuff said.

Next. The Jester. Pretty bad *** if I may say so myself.

I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the hardpoints on the Jester??? My absolute best mech right now is my QKD-5k. 2 LL 4 Ml XL320 and JJ's. This thing will do almost the same speed and loadout but with dual AMS. Don't see a real downside there?

Yep I bought 3 of them. Accidentally sold one when selling a mech so Ill take the loss on that one. But I want the CB and GXP back that I WASTED ON 2 SEISMIC AND 2 ADVANCED SEISMIC SENSORS!

Obviously you need to press the Turbo button on the front of the machine.

(For those reading this and have no idea what I'm talking about -- get off my lawn)

GAWD I wish I could 'like' this one multiple times!

Now if only they'd put the power switch back ON the power supply, so my kids would quit sending me to suspend mode...

Actually what your describing has been the case for awhile. If a mech doesn't move it doesn't make a seismic. The change today is that you can only detect seismics if you are not moving. Small mechs have to stay moving or the die...nerf for them. Assaults don't necessarily always move...no effect for them.

Don't think this was ever the intended use for seismic. I've always used it as eyes around a blind corner in a choke point to know when the enemy is going to pop out. Scouts should use their eyes, since they're the eyes of the team. This is a good change to seismic, and I will continue to use it.

Indeed. And as the team's "eyes", seismic doesn't relay targeting info back to the team anyway. You might see their seismic pattern on your radar, but the rest of the team doesn't know they're there unless you tell them through text or voice chat.

EDIT: also something I keep seeing from players is that they don't target enemies... I can't imagine anyone bothering to read the forums doesn't already know this*, but If the enemy has a hollow triangle, there's no guarantee that anyone else but you knows that target is there! Target your enemies, turn those hollow triangles to solid triangles and let the rest of your team know where the enemies are!

*Although yes, the ratio of players that read the forums to players that don't read the forums is incredibly small anyway.

Good patch!

To all people coimplaining about seismic nerf..
Tell me: realistically, how is a seismic sensor supposed to work while a mech is moving?

And also:

Most any OS will allow you to change your soft power button function to a full shutdown and not sleep/hibernate.

I do not appriciate the fact the jester has JJ, it feel pay 2 win. Come on that thing can be super fast + JJ + 1extra AMS.

Its just flatout better than the k2.

One could argue that the k2 has 2ballistic hardpoint but since the jaggermech is here there is little reason to bring a ballistic in it.

I agree

Well yes, but too late now. It will be dead weight now tho, since you only need to fire of a few AC rounds to simulate more than a lance of mechs.
What we have here, pilots, are Mark 1 ears that can differentiate the sound of a AC round exploding and a thumping mech

Ahhh. I see. That is pretty ******* lame then. Seriously? You can only detect vibrations using seismic sensor if you're not moving? Then what the hell was the ******* point of introducing it in the first place?
See. I started to have faith again in PGI a little bit ago. I forgot what for. But now it's completely out the mother ******* window again. Good game PGI, you've managed to continuously **** off your player base left and right with your absolutely idiotic ideas left and right.
If you **** up Clan implementation, the gloves are coming off *******.
