Preaching to the choir,
I've abandoned many an
argument once the
ad hominem begins.
I don't want to be seen
having a like on my posts
from someone who
"backs my play" with a
post that every 3rd word
is redacted.
I could care less who "backs me" or likes my posts, or whose posts I like. I don't care about someone's post history, unless they are a hopeless shill, then I just ignore them. I post as I feel and I like what makes sense or at least makes me laugh. There are only a handful of people so hopeless I ignore them, but it makes things immeasurably better.
I don't have a "side" in this silly war of haters v. fanbois. I simply seem to find myself agreeing with one side more than the other of late. I have simply run out of patience with the devs in most cases. If they can't make deadlines stop stating them. Not making deadlines repeatedly shows me you are either incompetent and can't manage the project or you are dishonest and are milking people. I always choose incompetence over malevolence, so I truly think they bit off more they could chew. They tend to compound this by not admitting it.
Do you think we will see the 1st stage of CW in their timeframe? They will use the UI slippage as excuse but that's just ridiculous at this point. Unforeseen events occur, but the more they occur and the frequency begins to beg the question of why they are unforeseen and why so often.
I get it's fun to poke at the easy targets and lately the haters are easy pickings, but that's mainly (for me at least) because the defenders don't even rate the trouble. I mean look at the mod here, that didn't take any effort to chase him off.
The only thing that will be ruined by MWO is PGI's reputation and can the team behind such hits as Duke Nukem Forever and some hunting and fishing games really lose any more face?
