Sucks when someone

like that, backs up your

posts.

Completely invalidates

any argument you're

trying to make.

That's why I believe

the 3PV and ECM

arguments failed.

Future neckbeards

who are too young

to know any better.

I never argued against ECM although it could use work and my only issue with 3PV was how it was handled. It doesn't impact gameplay as much as the idiots who stopped playing because of it's simple existence would have you believe. But the epic bungling of its introduction showed to me how in over their heads the dev team is.I got that out of my system when it happened and there's no need to rehash it.
I do agree that there are a lot of loonies on both sides, on of them is posting here all the time but I ignored him so it makes my forum time better. So don't think the fools are only on the other side.

Preaching to the choir,

I've abandoned many an

argument once the

ad hominem begins.

I don't want to be seen

having a like on my posts

from someone who

"backs my play" with a

post that every 3rd word

is redacted.

I could care less who "backs me" or likes my posts, or whose posts I like. I don't care about someone's post history, unless they are a hopeless shill, then I just ignore them. I post as I feel and I like what makes sense or at least makes me laugh. There are only a handful of people so hopeless I ignore them, but it makes things immeasurably better.
I don't have a "side" in this silly war of haters v. fanbois. I simply seem to find myself agreeing with one side more than the other of late. I have simply run out of patience with the devs in most cases. If they can't make deadlines stop stating them. Not making deadlines repeatedly shows me you are either incompetent and can't manage the project or you are dishonest and are milking people. I always choose incompetence over malevolence, so I truly think they bit off more they could chew. They tend to compound this by not admitting it.
Do you think we will see the 1st stage of CW in their timeframe? They will use the UI slippage as excuse but that's just ridiculous at this point. Unforeseen events occur, but the more they occur and the frequency begins to beg the question of why they are unforeseen and why so often.
I get it's fun to poke at the easy targets and lately the haters are easy pickings, but that's mainly (for me at least) because the defenders don't even rate the trouble. I mean look at the mod here, that didn't take any effort to chase him off.
The only thing that will be ruined by MWO is PGI's reputation and can the team behind such hits as Duke Nukem Forever and some hunting and fishing games really lose any more face?

See, you had me

until you started

rehashing your

previous statements.

You've made that

point, several times

already. Even a good

argument can become

tiresome. Especially

when in the same

thread.

Just saying.

I like that Roadbeer saves me the effort of reading his posts by right-aligning his text.

Heffay should start doing the same, imo

We get to shoot things in december.
By MWO 'closed beta' definitions, it'll be a released product in two months, with 12 ships (versus MWO's 4 robots), music, graphics, and functional HUD screens.

Multiplayer dogfighting won't be in until 2014 now. Guess what portion of Cryengine they had issues with?

Spoiler

Wait till they start having to deal with HSR and hit detection... :)

Depends on if they use hitscan or not. MWO doesn't use hitscan.

I don't think they will have problems, because unlike over here, RSI has not burned their bridges with crytek, and have a full team of theirs working very close on the project.

In a sea of cryengine games, only MWO has had all these 'deep rooted' cryengine errors.

And star citizen too. You read the RPS interview with Chris Roberts? He is having the exact same issue with netcode and has stated that multiplayer dogfighting is delayed to 2014.

Heffay, anyone in the know for Star Citizen has read that RPS article. It's going to be out this year. We just might not get multiplayer in it for now until they hammer out their own netcode. It's not going to be a minimal viable product pushed out the door to keep the funding going. They've already secured that.

That, and Chris has been a hell of a lot more of a swell guy about the whole project than PGI has about MWO. With Chris it seriously seems like this is something he's doing for the sake of making an awesome game that he would want to play. Stark contrast to PGI's approach to their game and their community.

Sadly, as with PGI, Chris has a nasty habit of divulging critical information on news sites that are not the front page or after a user panic get fleshed out on the forums. Or for that matter at the end of Wingman's Hangar, like the Veteran's Day Hornet skin/model sale.

Well played.

However, both

Roads and Beer

have a use.

and when combined

people have to stop

and look

No-one needs a

vagrant and for

the most part, if

not shunned,

ignored.

Thanks for

stopping by.

And yet when combined in any capacity they're terrible. Like you.

Watching the grizzled forum veteran toy with that poor kid is getting sad. I actually think Tycho is starting to take this personally.

Could you

go to that other

forum and rustle

me up a challenge

from one of the

"PGI Truthers" or

the "Occupy Third Person"

crowd?

Thanking you in advance.

In short, is your daddy home?

That's right, mods, go ahead and delete the post where I just called Heffay a brownnosing little yapdog. Your ship is sinking and you're trying to bail it out with sewing thimbles.
