I used to get on from time to time, but seeing how I was much younger at the time and my parents didn't look kindly on the phone line being tied up while using dial-up, I would've played all the time if I had been able to lol.

Oh, yes, now I remember my unit from MW3. It was DsM.

DsM_Shadowcat and DsM_Bloodgundam were my old tags.

I did migrate away from them after they decided to go full on merc. I found my preference for fighting honorably put me in the minority and caused me to leave.

I then acted as a sort of freelancer, even when I was a part of some clans in MW4. I was regularly called upon in MW:VL to act as a fill in player. The first time I did that, I believe I was filling in for an AWOL Clan Wolf member (as I was one of the extremely few who could trade blows equally to the point of a draw with their Khan at the time), and went up against the Eridani Light Horses. I still remember that fight, as I was taking them on two at a time and winning. XD

In my time in late MW3 and MW4, I was in CiH, CFM, and CNC, where I earned my bloodname through combat. I was also in a very short term arrangement with a second Clan Wolf group who wanted to be special snowflakes, so I infiltrated their ranks, fought my way to Galaxy Commander, acquired their trust, then instigated its dissolution. They were dezgra, all, and did not deserve to call themselves clanners.

I also trained Zyron Deleportas from the MW4 era. And by train him, I mean I would slap him upside the head, literally, while standing behind him watching him play, and had him duel me until he could put up an actual challenge. Interesting complimentary roles we made. Me at range with gauss and ERPPC, him up close with LBX and large laser.

That said, I am looking forward for the eventual reformation of a Clan Nova Cat, and earning my place through Trial of Position. As of now, I float unattached.

Honestly "best" is all relative. In a game like this you have to break it down by weight class and then by build (cheap/canon type/canon variant), let alone going into the previous versions of the game.

Ah, those were the days. I went under TFA_Maverick and mostly haunted the XvT rooms, but I spent my fair share of time in the MW lounges as well.

I loved mech3, I love mecha in general, I am glad MWO is out. I stopped playing MWLL (mechwarrior living legends) because of real life, but now i put some free time in for this game and it is worth it right now I hope it gets clan play (for real) and ladders and such.

what did you think of MWLL? I never got to play it.

Yea, I am the same Buzz that did all that stuff in mech3 lol. hilarity, I am the same buzz that sucked at mech4 (college connection was terrible, good for MW3, bad for MW4), and was good at MWLL.
Fun seeing old school names mentioned though on this zombie thread that won't die.

Someone actually found an old photo I took like years and years ago of my trophy on my bookshelf. Good times, brought a tear to my eye.

All I can say to people who keep trying to argue who is "good" or "bad" at these games based on the past. Apples to Oranges. Should be like asking whether someone is good at Checkers would make them a good Stratego player.

I am having fun, hope you are having fun, good to see people running around.

I would love to know if Tsunami, Sunscat, IronButcher, Maverick from Mech3 days play this version, and if so lets get online and fight some together

There are still some of those folks playing.
