@ Grothaus why you are QQ about the spiders nerf? If you are such a good Player it shouldnt have any effect on you and your godlike skills with the Spider.

On Training Grounds i found the new CT HItbox on the Awesome. But the Atlas was coreable through his pelvic area

Nice patch; thank you.

I can't wait to see what you do with the Catapult's boxes, since 95% of kills on me, unfortunately, have been Center Torso only. Oh, there's damage to the other torso's, but almost every one of my deaths have been because of Center Torso.

Those aren't hitboxes you are seeing in the mechlab. So for PGI to update them they would have to implement them first :). But that won't happen because, for better or worse, PGI has stated that they do not intend to publish 'mech hitboxes.

makes me sad

it [CW] was supposed to be added in january, but no problem you're only off by what 9 months?
It matters because they set a date. Saying it's a beta isn't and never was a blanket excuse to do as you please, especially to the founders to whom you promised things.

Yeah, it kind of is. That's what beta is all about. You chose to fork over your cash (hopefully) understanding this. Nothing is written in stone during beta. It's a time when devs offer early access to the game they're developing to get feedback and bug reports from the player base, nothing more. This player base just happened to be happy paying for certain perks during that period (like I said, I probably would have as well).

If you want to view it as a failed game that hit you with a major "bait and switch", that's fine. We can just agree to disagree. Just don't delude yourself into thinking they "owe" you anything that was discussed during *BETA*, especially when you were never *required* to pay them a dime to play their game during all that time.

I didn't watch the video you linked, but I've seen other video interviews on the subject, and I'm guessing any time they said things like, "our intention is", "the plan is" or, "we hope to", what you heard was "we promise, cross our hearts".

Hanging items are now standing items. New Hanging items rolling out, and all of them will be viewable most of the time.

What do you mean "rolling out"? Anyways what I now have is 2 items equippable. Earlier I could equip 3 of them. How is this better? All the flags I purchased are now basically unusable, ffs.

There was nothing wrong with spiders,.... the prob is more or less with bad players with poor aim and poor judgement, who can barely hit anything thats not standing still or moving slow.... let alone focusing on specific components...

I respectfully disagree and I'm not here to convince you or to try to change your opinion... but in my experience the Spider did indeed have a problem. Spiders are routinely the last mech standing... they are often cherry red all over yet still absorbing hits... they can also take direct hits when shutdown or standing still that would put other light mechs out of commission... I can pilot a Spider in same manner as any other light mech and have increased battlefield longevity with little to no effort.

In short I'm not a top tier elite light pilot, yet I can run the field at will in a Spider. I don't think the majority of the complaints about the Spider are from people with bad aim or can't play. Is it the actual hitboxes? is it HSR? are the hitboxes increases being used to compensate for bad HSR? that is for PGI to decide I suppose, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this patch performs

Careful what you wish for. Reducing the CT hitbox would likely eliminate the XL engines as an option in your Cats.

Now you are arguing semantics and I'm not going to go dig around the archives, NGNG or wherever just to find the one time they say 'CW will be out in January/February/March/April/June/July/August/September/November'.

Please update the visual hitboxes in the mechlab when you update them, quite frustrating.

THey never have reflected the correct hitboxes on the mech, and PGI has said they won't reflect them either.

I certainly hope they don't change the Catapults hit boxes. I quite like my XL engine.

Their "promises" were just part of the discussion at hand. My assertion is merely that it's silly to claim you've been waiting for almost a year, when eight months of that time was during beta, where you really have no grounds for expectations of *anything*.

I haven't seen where they "promised" it in November, but I fixed the rest for you (again, Jan.-Aug. was during beta and therefore irrelevant). You're acting like the game actually *launched* in December. That's just not a reasonable stance.

Fine, your opinion is that Beta doesn't count. Many others, including mine is that it counts, whatever. We aren't going to agree so might as well end it here.

You just keep on harping about how the Beta doesn't count.

Kind of sad that it took so long to adjust the hitboxes on said mechs. The changes are much appreciated and I will test them asap :)

Grr.

Patch was 50% complete (ETA was under an hour), was corrupted.

Now, the patch is downloading, ETA: 7 hours :)

I was in theory supposed to be in a tourny tonight.
