Maybe so, cant tell if its skill or just concentrated fire. I lean toward the latter.

Look what another FTP game studio has done in about the same timespan, Digital Extremes took warframe from announcement to being preloaded on every PS4.

Because Warframe isn't at all incredibly buggy, boring (read: grind early game so you can grind mid-game so you can grind endgame so you can grind rare weapons so you can grind "clan" weapons so you can grind some more because grinding), and full of power creep. Plus their patch notes are so incredibly vague that any new weapons released don't even have accompanying stats posted (or any values at all for balancing changes of any sort, 99% of the time)!

Not to mention all of the incidents where they straight-up lied to the player-base (At the very least, four major ones, from what I can tell. We've had... one major one? Just for comparison), and the fact that they encrypted drop-tables for "security" purposes - which is not shady in the least.

Yep. Digital Extremes is certainly a company to pick for a role model.

Thank you. I wasn't specifically going for a Princess Bride reference, but it is definitely apropo.

FTFY, Again

I'm glad to hear about Special Modules, as the current suite of General Modules do seem a bit... generalistic. I like it.

In the future, I'd love to see MC-only Fun Modules that don't pertain to combat, but rather mess around with the UI or environmental effects, such as Disco Mode, Paintball Mode, Big Explosion Mode (normal damage, but bigger visuals), Stackpole Mode (no dmg, of course) etc.. :)

Mostly because I know the forums over there are going to have the EXACT same names with the EXACT same nerdrage that they have over here. I'll pass.

Yeah, I'm backing SC as well as MWO, but I know the forums will inevitably sour.

As they have in every gaming community I've seen or been a member of...

Thanks for the update guys, no one who also works during this period expects you to release a great deal throughout Christmas and New Year. We all have families and other commitments to attend to.

Video Creative Director Updates

A good idea if it saves you time. Could I suggest you get one of the trusted and reliable community members to do a transcript of the video beforehand for release alongside the video for the client side news feed. I still would like to have something to read, even if it is just a list of highlights with time codes.

UI 2.0

I took a look at the last public test and have to add, like others have, that you should implement a load out skeleton like Smurfy and MW4 have. Anything to make the mech bay experience more fluid is always a good thing.

The sounds within the UI 2.0 should reflect the action taken so it should have more impact (read final) when you purchase something, finishing your loadout, etc. And more relevant when moving components around i.e. a different sound to remove a component then to adding one in. This will allow experienced users to move quickly throughout the interface.

There should be a filter like the mech list currently has to hide completed mechs and unowned mechs from the pilot lab. That list is only going to get longer as you add new mechs. Later you can add clan and IS filtering as well.

After I've re-read the December update, I went back and read the October update, and all I can do is shake my head. The features to Community Warfare mentioned in the October update had a lot of them listed as currently being well under development. However, in the December update, we are told that the engineers have just now finished reviewing those same features that were previously (allegedly) under development. Am I getting mixed signals? What's going on here, PGI? The development meta needs to be aggressively rebalanced...
