lol...stay in your bubble. But since you asked heres a pro tip:
put the tinfoil around your credit cards....and cover the camera holes in your phones when your not using them.
And your correct, its not the NSA you should be worried about.
I notice you live in NYC, what ISP do you have?

I am not sure if it is just my limited perspective, or if it is a real thing. It APPEARS that I am seeing both fewer new faces and fewer old faces. That when I run 12 mans I run into less and less teams doing the same.
Are other groups seeing this as well? Is it just an expected November -> December Holiday slowdown, maybe people finally giving up on PGI? Or something else?
Is it just me? Or it this happening?
it think this is one of the reasons why they removed the online player display ages ago. It never made any sense to me...

Decline of PC gaming due to viruses/hackers.
Hackers bring down PSN for a month. Sucked to be EVERY PS3 OWNER at that time if you were into multiplayer.

a whole month? thats unheard of.
oh is that the time when they stole everyone credit cards last year? I heard about it on the news but didn't know the network went down for so long.
most i've seen personally is them bring down ea's battelog servers and punkbuster for almost two weeks from Ddos attacks and who knows what else, which they publick apologized for. Quakelive has gone down many times but always less then a week. maybe a few days.
Anyone can do that nowadays if they have the money to pay for it... there are ddos services for hire, not even on underground networks nowadays. right out there in public.
Right after ea went down some new viruses were getting detected, and i got one from battlelog. EA totally blew me off about it. It was my own fault, it was the same week IE 10 came out and i had to try it out to see if fps changed, being the gamer I am haha, big mistake. I do not recommend using IE. although nothings really safe anymore.

Was down between April 20th to May 14th (a couple days longer, depending on region), originally brought down by a "external intrusion", then kept down longer and longer as Sony was discovering more and more exploits in PSN.

They are more concerned with foreign spies like edward snowden. If you look at the top known spies of the 21st century. ALL top 10 would be Russian, or double agents working for Russia. Snowden is no different. In fact, he is the best spy Russia ever had in history.
The NSA pass the info they get about target onto the secret service and FBI, because they are the ones that handle the domestic affairs. And your right the NSA is probably not even that concerned about that. They handle foreign affairs and probably stumble on very little to do with it. The secret service can handle it just fine.
Truth is the conversation in the media is about the NSA, because they are being controlled by foreing spies. Us Americans should be more concerned with what the FBI and our police forces are doing... They don't need the NSA to hack your pc or spy on you. Even NYC police where I live can do that well enough all on their own and have become very good at it. They are teaching other police forces around the country. The NSA gives them info if they stumble onto something, but I assure you, you are not their target, they don't have enough people even with bulk data collection, and the FBI prolly already has that info anyways...
Truth is we should be more worried about the FBI, because they have more open data on us then the NSA, and the bad guys hack the FBI to steal it just as much...lol
Most likely though the people virusing you, are your family, friends and neighbors who hire people to do so...its so easy nowadays children can do it.

Especially if you go in an assault mech as well.
To demonstrate this you can do a simple test:
- the matchamaker tracks ELO ratings seperately for each weight class. That is you have one rating for lights, another for mediums etc.
- observe the difference in waiting time between the weight class in which you have the highest W/L and the lowest.
I've only recently gotten into assault mechs and have been playing them tryhard, so waiting in my victor takes up to a several minutes. While the heavies and mediums which I used when I first started (and sucked) have virtually no waiting time (max 30 sec usually).
If LoL, with it's millions of players (and more efficient matchmaker) has longer q times at higher ELO ratings, how can you expect MWO not to experience the same effect ?
