???? WTH are you talking about. Never-mind. With that attitude I hope you do leave before you find out the system for the command tree is amazing and balanced.
You'll see what I mean. I have experience in this kind of games, so you'll better listen to what I say.

Yeah me too... So have most people on these forums. I haven't heard ANY complaints about the trees... So no... I don't think I will listen to what you say....
Ps.. You'll is the abbreviation of you will... "You will better listen"..... I don't think so.

How can you have experience in this kind of game when you have absolutely zero idea of the way it's balanced?
I think we'd better NOT listen to what you say, as you appear to be jumping to some awful big and unsupported conclusions.

I actually think the amount of scouts will rise once people see how much of an advantage knowing where the enemy mechs are and having the early ability to soften them up with fire support is before the assaults get to the front line.

Even though I want to play commander I also hope it is balanced, if the off-board attacks have a decent cooldown I don't see it being a huge problem
Next questions would be...
Can a commander have ALL the off-board abilites at the same time? (we don't know how many mod slots are in a mech)
What are their cooldowns?...
Do they all share the same cooldown? (if you use one, do they all go into a cooldown period?)
- Call Air Strike – Calls in an air strike that does AOE damage in a straight line
- • Call Artillery – Calls in a land based artillery bombardment on to a target area
- • Call Naval Bombardment – Calls in Naval artillery bombardment that has a larger and more powerful resul•
- Call Predator Drone – Drops a heavy explosive device on a targeted area

Well, it is also said that scouts don't have to be light mechs, I can see some fast meds in there also...And if a scout is ignorant enough to get into AC/20 range and not be behind the person, they deserve it

I have a feeling that GOOD scouts will very quickly become the "MVP" class that everybody wants on their team.

Yeah I think scouts and command will be in high demand since most people just want to go atk/def. In a four man lance, most lances will probably have 1 scout, 1 commander, and 2 atk/def.

Depends on the mech, but I think Scout will be popular. Not only for spotting the enemy further out but to avoid detection to get closer. I can easily see a hunchback scout just for the main purpose of allowing it to get in closer with the AC 20. LRM boats can sit back and launch from hidden points indirect fire would be pretty good. Or a light mech like the Jenner or Commando with LRMs to sit back and do LRM harrassment fire.
Frankly I am worried about Attack and Defence and that what they have will not make them comparible to Scout or Command.

I don't know.. It looks like they are the same tree to me. No clue why it would be split. I can totally agree that a lot of mediums will go scout and I think its a great plan... but I think that a lot of people will still go atk/def just for the edge in straight up battle. In any case everyone will eventually have all the trees from my understanding (or at least have the option to multi branch into them) . It's just a question of which one you wanna go first.

In pub matches you are probably right... In clan matches it will be more organized I think

I remember playing a commander class in Chrome Hounds at least, people really underestimated the importance of a proper radar and intelligence support.
Woot Chromehounds!! Want a Chromehounds 2!! Anyways, Command cause looking at the voting commanders will be needed and no one else wants to be.
