That I concur with...I am spending nothing until they deliver something more than mechs and a smattering of maps. $240 for a hobby I enjoy not a lot of money in the grand scheme of things. Problem is I am not enjoying the game as is and I get leery of people that say trust me...the check is in the mail especially when they do it over and over and over.
So while I harbor no hate towards PGI, I am simply unwilling to further open my wallet until they start delivering something in their service of what I perceive as value.
Since my friends are moving on and a BIG part of my enjoyment is derived from the interaction with my friends...some of who I have been online gaming with since the 90's, we tend to move as a group. I will be moving on as well. The game whatever it is is the cohesive vehicle that binds us together and is the commonality of our friendship.
PUG friends...yea not so much into that 15 minutes of comraderie so PGI has a lot to deliver to win me back and this simply is not it for me.

Quote this if you're down.
PGI, you done screwed the pooch, son!
I have a paper to write for my final for this college semester, and I can't concentrate on it because of your rampant stupidity, and being huge liars I defended for a long time, not only these past couple of months, but from April to September 2011, before AU dissolved. You NEED to tell this community what the hell's going on, or you need to refund people's money and step back.
"If you tell people you will have out a lot of things at certain times, then you NEVER get those out, rather putting out {Scrap} people don't need, you might just be a dumbass!"

2) No indication of what the probable (or even possible) weapons loadouts are or what the Clan weapon arsenal is going to be -- This will affect the "flavour" of the Clans if the invasion ever commences, let us hope it is not scatological in nature;
3) No new maps - at launch, MW4 had something like 20 different maps, not variations of 10 maps, but 20 different maps;
4) Still no CW;
5) No Clan "faction" details (like how are the Invading Clans supposed to be managed (Frankly, this should have been issued simultaneously with the Clan mech package offering);
6) still no in-game comms;
7) the game is still essentially a Beta product;
8) Timely, encouraging and yet insulting sale.

I would have payed a sub for world of mechwarrior, for soooooo long. But that would have required PGI to coff up an actual fully fleshed out game.

Remember how Bioware fixed the Mass Effect ending ? Now that's a company that has customer base loyalty and appreciates the CURRENCY (hint hint) of loyalty, perhaps you could just take some inspiration from companies such as them.
I really don't want to see this game fail in PGI's hands, as I love the franchise and don't want to see this game die, BUT more money and 500 dollar mechs ? You guys haven't even implemented DX 11 yet ! and you want more ?

Also you don't have to buy the packs to get the mechs. You just have to wait a bit longer. So where is the pay to win; Because of those clearly overpowered Battlemaster builds running around right now right?
Stop the fear mongering allreader. If you don't want to spend the money. Just wait. But game has to be funded some way. And if they decide to use the tier based marketing scheme, so be it.
I mayself are really excited about this. But most likely wont buy a pack worth 210$ just to get my hands on may beloved masakari. Other might be willing to. And its there good right to do so. Funding your ******** free to play idiology.

But I can't in good conscience purchase these mechs at this time. The price is steep by itself, but that's not even the main issue. The main issue is that I don't even know what I'm really getting. The info given is incredibly minimal. How will clans be implemented? How can you ask for such a sum without giving even a little bit of information? If you tell me what it all means and I like it I'll be happy to give you $240. But $500? Maybe...I just don't know what you get for it. Clicking on anything just takes you to the credit card form. It's asking me to pay, virtually sight unseen. I'd be a foolish consumer to do that. How are we to even know where the game will be in eight months? What if PGI goes out of business? It's just asking a lot from the customer base. Too much, in my opinion.
What I'd like to see is a comprehensive update, given to the community from PGI. Tell us where you are on CW, UI 2.0, etc. Give us an idea about what you're working on. What game modes are being planned? Please stop asking for my money until then. Those mechs are beautiful and juicy and I want them, but $240 is too much considering all the unknowns.
I've willingly given you a lot of money. And I have no problem continuing to do so because I love the game and am hoping that more comes our way. But as I see it now, you're just producing more mechs and I see no movement on any of the things the you have told us you're working on. Give us some updates, folks. This smacks of a money grab and it insults us.
pretty much what i thought as well.
If they implement ui2 well and make the changes it needs, give us more info what the clans will be like and show some real movement on the cw front i will gladly get a clan pack. Most likely a big one as well.
But like this, without any real information we have no idea what we are getting exactly and if it is of use for us.
They REALLY need to work on their communication. If they had said something together with this. Maybe why suddenly the clans come out before cw (don't want to "speculate" here) and given some more infos people woudln't have reacted nearly as badly.
But until i know better where this entire game is going and what the clans will be like and can be sure the future of mwo is "secure" i will hold out as well.
We will just have to see what the coming months will bring, it is a long time until june. Who knows, maybe i am lucky and they tell and show us more until then. If enough happens until the end of march i might make myself a nice birthday present ;-)
