NOT. ONE. PENNY. MORE. UNTIL PGI DELIVERS ON IT'S PROMISES AND STARTS SHOWING INTEGRITY!

You should really listen to this, won't regret:

Sure i will pay a few hundred for a game with a few maps , a few modes, no privat servers , no serverbrowser, a shipload of bugs and the opportunity to grind more to grind even more. I mean like totally. ;)

Okay PGI. My nerdrage from yesterday is under control, not gone, just under control. I want to say I understand why your are having this sale, you need the money to keep operating and to keep on making the game. What I don't understand is your decision behind the pricing moddel. Now I know that the price is basically $10 per mech or $30 per tier. That is fine, it's a reasonable price for three mechs

The problem I have with this is that the one mech I want, the Timber Wolf, is gated behind a $210 dollar package with a whole bunch of other mechs that I don't want. Why can't we have a simple package system where we pick the package that we want for $30 and have a tier system with bonus content for purchasing multiple packages. Give us that choice.

The reason they did this is because they know that one is incredibly popular, and if hey didn't put it like that, they'd sell a ton of $30 packages, and none of the $210. So it makes sense from a company standpoint, however unpopular it is with the playerbase. I don't like the idea myself, but its what we got, and they most likely won't recant.

according to your logic, star citizen (which isn't available to players in any shape or form, despite charging thousands for in-game purchases so far) is a scam and will never see the light of day.

It might well be, but I havn't put any money into it so I don't really care, though should it launch and look good ( or even better than this) i'll give it a whirl.

Okay, they look cool. But what about weapons balance? Armor values? How do the hardpoints work? How do the double heat sinks work? Will we ever have real double heat sinks? If you buy these, are you immediately stuck in a Clan? If not, what's the point of having a Clan if anyone can own Clan mechs and tech? AND WHAT ABOUT SENSORS?!

Well, that escalated quickly.

I'm just pointing out that its not a big deal. No need to hate me for sharing my opinion.
Hey man, noone's hating you. Because you are the victim here.

Maybe if you spend another year looking into their mouths you will figure out PGI's game.

i am trying to follow this topic and opinions but its pretty hard at the rate its going on...one thing i have noticed...there are people that think this sale and how pgi "implemented" the clan invasion its ok...and thats simply outrageous (or those ppl have some interest or ties with pgi and they try to pose as an inocent user...or they are THAT naive...which i doubt) - how can anyone defend PGI at this moment when they didn't release nothing ...NOTHING that we as players and community expect ? we dont need more mechs and damn hanging items...we need something to be worth playing, we need something that would make us start the game and spend some hours on it...everyone should pay more attention to those who still defend pgi....they are trying to sweeten the rage that you can clearly see in these 100+ pages.

THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS AND YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED !

Because with 10 $ per mech, 210 $ might not look as bad as a deal it is.

PGI doesn't really care about how many mechs you have, their cost stays pretty much the same, but it would really prefer to get 210 $ from a Clan fan than 10 $ or 20 $.

Very good point. We cant have davions driving clan tech on the day its released. Surely it will have to be salvaged by IS players?

Well there goes $240. It would have been $500 if the a single gold Omni came with the complete collection. I can't afford to $740 in mechs ;_; or $4,000 for that matter. But do want.

The problem is this:

1) $210 package isn't worth it because youre forced to buy content you dont want in order to get the content you do want. Which would be fine if the $210 package came with a considerable amount of free extra stuff, but it doesnt.

2) blatantly worse deal than phoenix, which was $6.7 per mech (not $10 per mech). not to mention phoenix gave you proportionally more premium time. hiking up prices by 50% at christmas is just bad business when most of your competitors have heavy discounts going on (most other F2P games have 20% sales right now).

3) complete lack of information regarding clan mechs, clan tech, and even the preview video has no clan mechs in it! You expect me to shell out $200+ just because you showed me a video of some smoking buildings. WTF?

I think your assuming that PGI would communicate to us in a meaningful way. Like telling the fanbase/player what the plans for Omnimechs/varients, what unique modules actually meant, etc. If they had really wanted to they would have told us BEFORE the launch of this sale. And listen.......hear that? That my friend is the sound of PGI not giving any [Redacted]. They won't even chime in before Monday to clear up issues. They would rather let the vitriol flow.

Well, there was the supposed screen that was released early. It's possibly that they threw this up in response to that, before they were truly ready to. Also, not sure about where you're from, but up here in Canada, a lot of people don't work on the weekends. I mean sure there are the stores and restaurants and the like that are open, but they regular office days are Monday to Friday. It's no surprise to me that there's no answer because, surprisingly enough, the people making the game are actually human and need some time off so they don't burn themselves out.

So rather than assuming "ZOMGZ PGI hates us and aren't telling us anything" I'm going to go with the idea of a rushed annoucement, a weekend and waiting for some data to pile up. See they need to see the questions, take those questions to some management types who are authorized to give answers (and certainly don't work on the weekend) get those answers back and then publish those answers.

It's really surprising to me people on the forums. They just see that a company has X number of employees and then shout "Why can't X people get done what I want done RIGHT NOW?!" and never actually consider how a business might actually work. They don't just have people sitting around with their thumbs where the sun don't shine, those people are working.

The Coders[ have been working on DX11, UI2.0, CW and the like for the past several months. What do you think the texture artists, the modelers, the 2d artists have been doing? They can't help in any way on the code, they're Artists, not programmers. To keep them busy, they've been working on mechs and now we're seeing the results of this.
