How to make.. ONE MILLION DOLLARS!

Step 1: Buy an IP people want to see
Step 2: Make the minimum viable product
Step 3: Start charging for stuff made by underpaid employees
Step 4: Go on vacation and ride this into the ground, son!

I guess my question to everybody who is angry is...

What are you gonna do when PGI addresses this thread on Monday (most likely) and they change the prices or offer some tiny compensation, like a gift certificate for a kid's meal at Ruby Tuesdays with every purchase?

Are you gonna backtrack and pay a bunch of money, sight unseen? Or are you going to stick to your guns and wait for progress to be made?

I don't believe the whole rage is about this prices or the value each pack offers. It's all about reaching a decent level of awareness on the actual business model and finding it not innocent anyomore. As the trust on the developers/publishers has been falling at terminal speed, for some this is the last drop. If everyone was happy with the game, no one would whine about this.

Maybe the management doesn't actually know what's in the game? That's the only conclusion I can think of when Russ ignores the missing Phoenix badges and the unimplemented loyalty points. Or maybe it's just cognitive dissonance to prevent him from thinking himself dishonest?

Do you think he understands that demands for refunds can still be made? They have yet to deliver what was AGREED UPON in the content for Phoenix.

I've got deep pockets, and I've spent a good deal of cash on this game with no regret thus far. You need to put in CW and the UI 2.0 before I'll spend another penny.

Redeem yourself PGI before you kill your own game.

Yes, you overgolds are the reason we don't have a good mechwarrior game atm. Why would anyone put effort into something, when they dont have to? Finally you wake up to the truth, the truth we tried to tell you ages ago.[/size]

Really? It's not PGI's fault at all for not delivering on what they promised? It's the players' fault for somehow forcing them to f*ck off this whole time?

A whole lot of people put effort into things when they don't have to. I'm sorry that your worldview prevents you from seeing this. It must be bleak where you are.

They threw the madcat at $210 because they know everyone would want it but then they would think what another $30 since I already spent $210 and buy the $240. As if they know the people who buy their products can't control themselves.

Its hard tho. I want more mechs, i want the bays so i can just level up another chassis.

Ahhh, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. Lets see how much they got to offer

I think he just triggered my trap card.... Visa card that is... they work for me when a company doesn't deliver 100% of what was sold.

1. It's clan and I was never going to buy clan.
2. Can we now start flagging clan with this? So all those who are running around claiming to be in a clan can now have proper clan markings?
3. Even less interested in playing now then before due to the appearance of need of funds without major gameplay items in game.

Nope.

Because Clan Tech > Better than IS tech (I don't believe you can balance this Russ; a snowball in hell has better chances) everyone will be running Clan tech, even people playing Periphery houses.

Gentlemen-

Pay *very* close attention to the "deliver by" date of June 17th, 2014. Anyone purchasing over the next week who does *not* receive their promised merchandise by that date will not be able to receive a chargeback claim through their credit/debt card issuer at that point- the statute of limitations of all three major networks will have expired by that point.

Scamming PGI scammers are scamming.

Might want to screenshot it for proof too.

Not like they haven't changed that stuff retroactively before.

Ok, enough is enough. I'm out. I have no problem with the prices. You simply have a skeleton of a game and never address it. You never meet a deadline. No UI 2.0, No Lobbies, Not a single line of code for CW.

Long ago Turbine had Asheron's Call 2, it was failing and they released one last expansion, grabbed the money and then shut the game down 2 months later. I see the same thing here.Cheers!

Nope, cause it still doesn't address the real issue

Even for the Masakari collection at $240, which includes 24 'Mechs with a MechBay for each 'Mech, excluding all of the other bonus content puts each 'Mech at $10 each. But then if you add in Premium Time and all the extras, the 'Mech costs drop even lower. It's actually pretty reasonable, if you ask me, but the overall cost is very steep. I'd much rather be able to pick with chassis I want and buy only those.

With the Phoenix packages, for example, everybody got stuck with the Locust, which is really pretty useless, even for a scout or harasser role; the existing lights (like Ravens and Jenners, respectively) can play those roles much better.

im legit surprized pgi hasnt already shooshed off the community to somthing like mw:ll with these crazy prices.

240 for 8 chassis? how about 60 dollars for a actual game that has more content than this 240 pack or even better yet the kind people whi worked on whats mentioned above did it all for free. im not saying make everything in the game free but reduce the damn prices. i paid i think 50 dollars for bf4 premium and im getting 5 EXPANSION PACKS FULL OF CONTENT with that. seriously these prices are through the roof on the stupid level.
