I was with you till you said this. Then i started laughing. Merry christmas!

so you're saying you teamwork isn't an option in pugs? That's an interesting point of view. I love how people say you can't use teamwork in pugs yet I do it, every, single, day. Do you think a 4man group going up against another 4 man group (because that's EXACTLY how MM works) doesn't use teamwork with the lone wolves on their team?

Hmm..........
maybe THAT'S the problem? Try teamwork some time. It really works as intended. :)

A lot of occupiers here will tell you that teamspeak is the way to go. My opinion differs. I say pug and learn hard and when you start scoring well as a pug move up to team play. My reasoning is simple. Most premades are not all that good and they are dependent on each other and comms. Had a glorious day this summer when for some reason the voip servers were inconsistent. Throughout the day we randomly cleaned the clocks of regular premades and only the good players stood out.
Pugs had pretty even matches that day and I found that pugs being more independent and looking for clues on team movement did well when no one had comm advantage.

Of course the usual crowd will tell you otherwise but check their names against 12v full team matches. You will never see them there. That's the key.

Take the road less traveled and you will be better for it.

This is exactly what I did! I went PUG til I had a 1.0 K/D. Then I joined a Team. I never saw that day this summer either. :)

Has nothing to do with being 'social'. I am far from a social gamer as I hate petty chit chat and the like. However I am not a stupid gamer and prefer winning over losing. So I play with a group of people who for the most part are better than I am so as to ensure victories and at the same time make me a better pilot. This goes for all team based games that I have played. Being social is whatever, you don't have to be social to be a member of a clan or group in this game or any other, its about team play and the desire to obtain victories. If you want to go off and be a solo pug for life so be it but do not complain when you lose a lot or die a lot as this is a game based on team work/play.
Secondarily premades alone are not the cause of the problem with the landslide victories/losses. It is partially due to bad players vs. good players. Are we to assume that because there is a group of four in your drop that they are good by default. NO...there are just as many baddies in groups as there are not, they just have the edge in knowing that playing in a group is a better idea than going in solo.

He is right Man. I have PUGged this week again and All I see is my team not working together, My lance splitting 2-3 different directions, my Company floating on the 4 winds! I look into the mirror when I lose and know who is to blame when the last Mech falls.

It's just you repeating the same anti-premade drivel that was being spouted 2 years ago. I'm not the one complaining or losing so I think I'll just keep doing what I'm doing

You, on the other hand, keep on trying to find excuses for your stomps. I'll keep raking in c-bills for my wins.

PGI, balance and such is in a good place. Can't wait for group restrictions to drop so that those of us hampered by this since CB can actually pick up and play the game with our buddies. Continue with your current plan and you'll have a good solid game.

Sry sandy, I am here since little mor than a mounth... If you are so fed up with it; why do you post in every thread in
"game balance"section?

Your trying to entertain people?

Why do you think I have anything against premades? I just think it would be better for both, pugs and premades, to have seperate matchmaking...

go ahead sandy I always enjoy your posts :)

A single, non-coordinated warrior in the field is a "free kill" or at least an easy target.

Wring out your panties, calm down, and speak for yourself. Not all (or even most) prems in the PUG are exceptionally good at the game. They do enjoy an advantage over solo PUGgers, but not an insurmountable one. When you solo PUG, you are mastering the fundamentals of mech-combat. Some get into the premade game too early and get soft on "Roger, switching fire to Juliet." style play before they really know how to drive and fight in their mech. They glance over the fundamentals.

As of now I solo PUG excusively. When I come up against a premade, I'm pushing myself to see if I can overcome their communication advantage with my own technique. Often, I cannot and I take my lumps and learn and grow from them.

But often enough to not be a fluke, I get to shove their little nerdhelm walkie-talkie rigs so far up their a*!es that they don't want to troll the PUGs anymore for the night. No offense to all my good friends who run prems in the PUG, but like the movie says, "None of you seem to understand. I'm not locked in here with you..."

Pre-game lobby is on the way. You will get to swap around your mechs and what not based on your map (which I think is lame and will put an end to anyone's efforts to field balanced, "jack-of-all-trade" mechs). None of that is going to help you against premades so long as you exhibit the defeatism your post displays.

I premade a lot and never use VOIP. I pugboss with varying levels of success but when pugs click it's a thing of beauty and a joy forever.

Premade teams are bad for balance though - which is a problem with having combined premade and pug Elo, not playing in teams. It means that the actual player to player Elo level of many players are skewed. Possibly widely so. This then skews the attempt of the MM, which creates more issues by trying to match high/low for a target instead of within a band, to create Elo skewed teams that can vary dramatically in practice from what the point level is.

A pug queue would be awesome. It'd be fun sometimes. It would especially make the 'combined premade/pug' queue better because then I can pug and still know that everyone on my team is at least moderately of a mind to work as a team. I wish MW:O had a big enough population to make the needed matchmaker changes (Gaussian distribution of Elo population, matching players in an Elo band and not high/low to target, split pug/premade Elo) and fill both pug only and combined queues.

Chicken or egg issues. A 'combined' queue with no team size limits and a pug only queue would be spectacular and draw a lot of players back, as would a pug only queue. I don't know of MW:O has the population to support it. As a decision it would likely grow the playerbase, but without a grown playerbase it may not be able to populate the environments.

OH THE IRONY!

YOU haven't been saying it for 2 years, the same people have for 2 years. If the ones complaining about "premades ruining their game spent half the time figuring out why they're actually getting stomped as they do looking for a boogeyman, they'd be much better at pew pew pewing

Let's have the separate PUG and premade queues and see what happens. What's everyone afraid of? Some said the sky would fall if they introduced Skirmish mode and it turned out to be nothing to worry about. Why are so many afraid of separate PUG and premade queues? Let's try it and see.

Thats not true, thats not how MM works, i pointed this out in another post but your mates deleted it.
There is documentation on how MM works and nowhere does it say a 4 man on 1 team gets matched up with a 4 man on the other team.
Now this being fact my response will probably get deleted again.

He is waiting for a opening at the TSA. Till then he is here defending something else that is indefensible using logic.

No one is arguing against premades and the only ones using "evil premdes" is those defending them.

Kind of like fighting Monsanto. Same tactics, maybe same players too. :)
