Yup, I am. It's mostly just to grind out my Phoenix mechs, though (and I still need to finish 2 Stalker variants). Maybe when I'm done with all that and used up my Phoenix Premium Time I'll take a break for a while before the Pay2Lose Clans get added.

The core gameplay of robot-on-robot madness is actually good, the problem is that Piranha hasn't really polished the game to be more than just a husk of what it could be.

You've got a stronger stomach than I do. Lately my winning had less to do with my own ability and more due to random number generators.

Random in that:
1. Will my damage count this shot or will it not? Pull the trigger to find out!

2. How bad will my pugs be compared to their pugs.

I propose PGI implement a new minigame... called "pug trading" at the start of a match. We get to bargain/barter our players away for other ones.

I grind out the dbl XP on the Tbolts at a minimum these days, and go back to ForumWarrioring. At least, I can anticipate disappointment instead of playing on Mordor almost every other match.

Hehe. I spent my 500 bucks this Christmas on these:

I'm glad somebody else noticed it. I'm back to being convinced hes some disgruntled founder's troll account

devil's advocate:

He cares about the new player experience.
He posted a screenshot of how badly they got beaten. Whether he was on the winning side or not is immaterial to the inequality of the teams.
If anything, he is upset that they weren't fun to play against and upset for them being unfairly matched into a suicide match. (this point is a point on empathy, maybe you've heard of such a concept?)

Abandon ship. Most of us are just killing time till Star Citizen drops anyway. My advice, sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show of how not to designs a game and interact with a community. It really is hilarious watching them try and fail ohh so epicaly. The clan pack fiasco was pure comedy gold

But, RNG!

Here's a plus, it gets recorded in the end game, even if the game doesn't register the hit on your opponent. FREE C-BILLS MAN!

It would be fun trying to make side bets (in C-bills) for or against your team for the result in the match by counting the # of players in the "stock Champion mechs". Well, I guess you can't bet against yourself... otherwise you'd not be in the HOF...

It's a fresh and new idea! Let's add it in!

It's not a gold mech, so it's worth something! I don't know what console that joystick was for, but it has plenty of staying power.

I love the people that post about Starcitizen with no true concept of gameplay whatsoever..... It makes me smile. Keep posting though about how not to run a game or produce a game and good luck with how it turns out for you in the future.

That said. No interest in Starcitizen and I only know a few that are going to play it myself.

Play conquest, moving players around the map to cover more spots spreads out the play, so you're less likely to have everyone in the same place at once where numbers count.

Yes one sided games still happen but i feel they are less common.

I don't really think the population fits the Matchmaking properly so poor matches are more common, there isn't much you can do about that.

Well technically it works for Xbox, PS3 and PC but I don't have any consoles so it is for my computer.

Dude, I'd be all for betting on matches. Hell, you could even bet against yourself when you know the deck is stacked. Either way you win every time!

Maybe the MM is jacked maybe its not (it probably is). But whats really killing player retention is complete lack of any sense of community for beginning players. Theres no noob help chat channels like in EVE, no General Chat channels like Warthunder/WoT. Theres not even a decent way to send private messages. Noobs are isolated in a standalone game, except for the 4 minutes where they're slaughtered in battle. Maybe their team even wins, but it doesn't feel like a win to them.

I am 45 and an IT Director..... I dare say... my Ti99 Commodore 64-- and Apple 2C with the punch cards in school allowed me to see a few games and play in my time.

To this day... Venture for the Atari 2600 -- I always loved that block. (So... as a beta tester with UO, through SWG with Raph if you know who that is.. I clearly know what "ME" time is in a game... but I can tell you that with knowing this... there is some steps that can take place to change the style of this game rather fast. Again... I think the (whole) balance thing will never be achieved BUT there is steps that can take place to put things in the right direction.

I even miss the ole BBS days... when you would do RP games in it. ...lol thanks for the stroll lol.

I stand properly placed.

A troll alt trying to troll PGI gets immediately trolled by "pro-skillzz" e-peen mongers about how bad he is (implying they are considerably better). Which results in all sorts of {Scrap} flying in random directions and I foresee an inevitable derailing to the "PGI doesn't deliver".

Quite an unusual thread here, right?

Edit: Disregard that, I'm a slowpoke.

It'd be great for a while. Then the second Mech Depression would occur.

I got 215 mil in the bank, though. I wouldn't be shy betting half that every match until it happens.

I am not sure what the screen shot the OP provided has anything to do with the rest of his rant. First he won, please try to be a gracious winner. Second, the only pre-made I am sure about is on the other team and they got rolled hard (4:20 anyone) mainly due to disconnects.

That being said, the OP then goes into a diatribe about how PGI is slow to do anything and just milking the game for cash from the diehards. While this might mostly be true I don't see how it pertains to the original screen shot.

It is relevant in the time frame that MWO has been in existence, i can only assume that during the development stages alpha and beta that issues have been raised and yet to be dealt with, attempts have been made agreeably, but not fixed to point of stability. Since the game has been released and claimed to be live exactly what has been done to ensure that players stay with the game? just speculation on whats coming and when, but months down the line the community are still waiting, DX11 is said to be ready, with the current state of the community don't you think it would have made perfect sense to implement it straight away instead of holding onto it and then releasing the clan mechs before the other mech package has even finished rolling out?
Reading through the patch notes minimal effort has been made towards in game content, stability, back bone fixes but alas maximum effort has been made towards selling mechs, packages, colors and more but the people who are spending their money are not seeing the benefits of this.

So in short, if the developers had focused more on this game and provided a more refined polished version of what we have now then we wouldnt be posting such pictures, its a classic case of finish what you have started before moving onto something else.

Had a blast yesterday working on my Xmas Tree FREE gift. Still waiting for buddies lawyer to get back to him about it not being in a globe.

Anyone who think that some supposed Solo only queue will solve whatever they see as an issue with MWO is simply missing the point. Unless they totally negate the chances that myself and 3 other could attempt a sink drop, and even if only 2 of us get into the same game on the same Team, the other Solo Pug group are going to get rolled. LOL!

If anything, having some Teams of 4 in the Matches allows for others to see what Team work is actually all about and how effective staying together really is. You will never convince ALL the players to do what you want, and yes that may be your downfall that Match, but if you think herding cats is tough, try and tell little jimmy, over in-game comms. (when they arrive) what to do... You know what you will get? Some verbal diarrhea you don't really want to hear and then little =Jimmy doing the opposite out of pure spite.

So if and when you get that Solo Pug Match you want so bad. Don;t be surprised when it doesn't turn out like you thought it would. Little Jimmy will make damn sure of that... LOL!

you just completely missed my point, but that is the difference between txt chat and face to face chat, so much of the conversation is missed through interpretation, and you cant be blamed for that.

So yeah... that made me old just now. lol.... BUT back to point... I think a lobby system with a chat, with some sort of channel for newer people or help.. or I dare say a place that you can set up COMS or tell people to JOIN x Server here.. here is the IP and password etc..

We cant do that now... But see I guess we need clan tech more so. ???? ...Logic escapes me with some of PGIs thoughts.

You practice the same things Joe. You call anything you disagree with whine. Just another groupthink tactic to discount any argument. Good thing is we are at critical mass and you and your brothers speech has less power everyday. Your losing any validity you had because of it . If you tried on some empathy past crocodile tears you may gain it back.

I lost empathy for whiners on my 3rd day playing MW:O. Back when I couldn't get my weapons to group the way I wanted em. Teams playing against teams is what this game is supposed to be about. If you expect to have a 'fair' chance at winning you need to have VOiP in game or otherwise. If you are here to just have some fun shooting other pixels, then you can do that no matter the team's end results. I have plenty of fun, not when I do crappy in game, but I own that. No blaming anything or anyone for me not having fun.

I read a lot of "I am not winning and I am supposed to". I call whining whine. Have you ever seen me call anything StJobe says Whine? I disagree with quite a few members, but the ones who don't whine get respect, even when I disagree with them. (o7 StJobe!)

This is a bunch of whine. We don't have in game VOiP, We do have DEV supported TS3 Servers in the mean time. So to have the same advantages as pre mades do you just need to get on the free to use server and link up with some players more than once.
