Prepare yourself boy, the trolls are coming. Both the cougar and blood asp are clan mechs, so we won't see those for a while, around a year or 2 at least. As for coop, this game has no campaign, its PVP(player vs player) only.

Do not anger the trolls of lore for they are informative and accurate at all times!

Also....
see...

http://www.sarna.net/wiki/Main_Page

Check the dates on the Sarna page anything from a Technical Readout (TRO) after 3050 is unlikely to be in this game.

Also as stated there will be no coop or mission based play, at launch.

Technically... the entire game is co-op mode. Because you are going against groups of people with other groups of people.

MechAssault is an urban myth told as a cautionary tale to young folk in the hopes they will avoid crappy games.

I highly suggest you read the new players guides. There will be no clan mechs, as the timeline in the game has not progressed to that point yet (they will show up later). This is a multiplayer game, two teams of twelve will fight. So it is coop in the sense that you will have people on your team, but it will not be played vs a computer, it will be played against another team of human players.

Ignore the ragers. Welcome to Mechwarrior Online. The reason most people are foaming at the mouth is that Mech Assault is a very different game from how the Mechwarrior series of games has evolved. Most of Mechwarrior consists of more of a simulator type of gameplay rather than an arcade version. Check out some of the videos to get a better idea of how they work.

Both the Cougar and Blood Asp are at least oh ten years out I'd think I don't believe they were available till the mid to late 3060s, but I might be wrong there.

I've heard that the clans are going to be mostly pve.....I dont know if I trust that. This is pure rumor as this is going to be a pvp game. The entire rummor i heard is that they will be pve and by fighting them is how you will get your clan tech when it first comes out. A little later on you might be able to join the clans as a "bonds man". While this holds true to the lore im not sure if they would go that direction.

No (they're Clan machines, and won't show up initially and likely for at least a year after) and MWO is team play to begin with- there is no single-player mode.

Yeah...no. plus, FYI, MechAssault was made by Microsoft, this game's made by people who actually know about the BattleTech Universe and the weapon systems the mechs in those MA games ACTUALLY have. PPCs DO NOT HOME, for starters. And i'll also re-iterate the fact that you're gonna be waiting at least 9 years to see either in IS hands, and only for the fact we're buying them off Diamond Sharks by that point (i think).
