YIKES, I'll remember to read twice post once next time!
Haha, no stress at all.
I hope they post some kind of preview on Monday, just a picture or a video. Something.
Or that guy who claims to know could always post his evidence somewhere, I seem to remember that happened a while back with the Kintaro.

The problem with that is that if you know in advance and show/tell publicly, you won't know in advance any more.
(Or so I'd guess, I'm not in that group in MWO, but am some other places)

I dunno. It'd replaced talking and speculating what it is to what it can do and it's load out.
There will be plenty of time to talk about loadouts after it shows up, but only one chance to speculate about what it might be,

true, but the load out will be revealed on Tuesday which doesn't give us much time to speculate.

Not speculation, but confirmed FACTS
-Light Mech
-Humanoid
- Cannot currently have MASC
-Cannot Be Harmony Gold
- Bryan says "controversial", Russ is clueless as to what that means.
- NOT PANTHER
- Must have 3 timeline/technology acceptable variants
So using these factual criteria, here is a critique of your list.
20 ton mechs eligible
Hornet, not humanoid
Mercury, not humanoid needs MASC
stinger* Harmony Gold Unseen
and Wasp* Harmony Gold Unseen
25 ton mechs eligible
Mongoose* -Possible
30 ton mechs eligible
Falcon - Possible, but very rare
, Firefly -extinct outside WOlfs Dragoons, not humanoid
, Hermes* -possible
, Hussar - Not Humanoid
, Valkyrie - Harmony Gold Unseen
and of course the Urbie - Only possible with mechlab revamp. Potentially could be part of UI2.0, so it IS possible, though unlikely.
35 ton mechs eligible
Firebee, Primitive Mech, essentially extinct
, Firestarter, -Possible
Peregrine* - Clan Mech
and Wolfhound -Possible.
And you forgot the Thorn and the Javelin.

Mongoose or Javelin would be interesting. Firestarter less so, but it's probably one of those 3.

Okay guys, I think we have been looking at this all wrong. PGI is really going for "controversial" as much as possible, which is why the next hero mech not only brings our timeline to the year 3053 and adds melee to the game, but it also has ECM. Furthermore, as there are only 2 canon variants, the third variant will be PGI's made-up hero version which adds JJs. Want to master the Scarabus? Got to buy the hero!

Behold!

</tongue in cheek>
In all honesty though, I'd drive one.

Must point that Null Signal it's pretty much what ECM does right now. (need to rely in plain sight to spot it instead radar
Would be quite controversial if it's the 1st Light mech where all the variants are ECM capable.

S1 will have different/worse placements of energy slots than A.
