About the new UI (which I liked):

- when I minimize the game after the log-in screen, the game freezes.
- I would like filters with only my owned mechs (no trials).
- when I'm changing something in the loadout, I was pressing the "Back" button and the returning to the mech list without any changes (I just saw the "Check Out" button later).
- I think when pressing the "Check Out" button, the configuration screen should be closed.

BTW, thanks for adding the Firestarter (even without the ECM variant - I guess it would be too powerful...). You made me buy MCs for the first time since the Closed Beta.
Now please, please add the Banshee next month.

just noticed a bug, the GXP count doesn't update when you buy a module in the pilot skill tree until you leave the page and reenter.

As others have said, the new interface is not intuitive.

Too many screens, too much clicking, lack of double-click to remove items from the mech.

What's up with the engine screen? Does every engine really need it's own tile? The sea of identical looking tiles makes it hard to focus. Maybe some color changes to differentiate at 100 intervals (100-190 red, 200-290 orange, etc...)

Compare the sea of engines to the very empty looking equipment areas, it may be better to have engines, equipment, and ammo on the same screen (engines at the top, scrollable, followed by equipment underneath since they only need one row, followed by ammo, which needs 2 rows tops at the moment)

The tiles look to big in general, to me anyway.

Maybe shrink/scale the lab to about 2/3 of the current width and use the remaining 1/3 for the social functions.

Personally, I don't like the slide out of information while hovering, covering half the mech doesn't look right, maybe have those slide out details appear somewhere else.

As others have stated, tweaking/modifying/building mechs has gone from a 1-2 minute job to about 3 times that. Add that with the clunky social interface, it's a serious drain to play with others, I either feel like I'm wasting my time or theirs.

I'd honestly like to see an updated version of the previous UI, I'm finding it hard to like this one at all, and quit playing last night after a short while. I understand that new features will also be coming, and in light of that maybe some of these changes make sense, but it seems like we lost so many useful items from the old UI.

Also, not only missing engine and DHS summary but no module summary. This means to know what module you have on a configured mech you have to re-enter mechlab, go to the module screen, and then see what is there. So if you need to find a module a mech to swap, you could have to cycle through this on 50+ mechs. UI1.5, you had the summary screen stats by one click on each owned mech.

I wont touch them till you FIX that LIVING HORROR made out of you brain!

GOD is that ugly .....

It is even ugglier than me !!!

Ok, no critics without options:

Take the MW4 Mechlab, it is nearly like UI 2.0 or what i think you want ...

And look or ASK WorldOfPlanes for their chat system...

Multiple Crashes when trying to access the "Skills" section in the UI. Have restarted both game & PC and this still happens 1/3 of the time I go into look at the new pilot skills.

Only thing I miss is the "at a glance" loadout...you know, to see whether I've loaded a module or not, that kind of thing. Other than that, it's pretty cool. A little cluttered, maybe, but all in all it's pretty.

OK so I want to comment about UI2.0 and although my comments are negative, I would hope PGI doesn't take them that way. I honestly see where the new interface could be a benefit further down the road with the things that have been announced and what we expect from the game.

However, it is currently worse than the previous interface. I am not talking about bugs but talking actual usefulness. For instance, upon leaving a match, just to change mechs and install consumables, it is a minimum of 16 clicks of the mouse button and two scrolls of the mouse wheel before I am "READY" with my lance mates. I am somewhat embarrassed to say but there are matches that I don't get to hit the mouse button 16 times I combat! Having to do it in the mechlab is ridiculous. I say again, a MINIMUM OF 16 CLICKS and TWO SCROLLS.

I know you have a lot of updates ahead but one of them should include SIMPLIFYING common an repetitive tasks.

I'm having an issue with weapon modules. I have unlocked a bunch and they sometimes show up with an "invalid" tag when I try to equip them on mechs. Launching into a game or re-logging seems to fix the problem.

Since there is two thread, I'm gonna repeat myself.

Pretty much everything as already been said but here are my thoughts anyway.

Clickfest.
Nice looking.
Mechlab worse than the previous. Cant click on the mech anymore, hard to navigate, hard to see important info (free slot weapon, engine...). Clickfest. Thank god smurfy exist, without it I would spend hours just to configure one mech.
No saved loadout button, strip all...
GET THOSE TRIAL OUT OF MY OWNED MECH !!!!!!
LET ME REORGANISE MY MECH BAY !!!!!
DONT PUT MY HERO/PHOENIX MECH ON TOP !!!
Inventory dont show owned item in mech, it could be in a filter. Clickfest.
Module and equipement are more annoying to search than ever.
I actually like the new pilot tree, except for one thing... Clickfest.
Message send to other player/group disapear after a match.
Selecting game mode before every game. Clickfest, and annoying.
Fullscreen, I dont like it, here is why : before I could launch the search and browse the internet, and when it find a match the game would get fullscreen by itself. Now if I alt+tab I have to check if the game has found something.
Social button too small.
Buy mc button too big.

In the end this UI is worse than the previous. What's sad is that a lot of the complain have already be made before during the public test (click fest for example).

I'm forgiving you the mechlab since you're working on a new one. My biggest problem are the mechbay, the inventory and clickfest.
Reduce the clickfest (game mode selection like in previous ui, two click to buy efficiency in pilot tree instead of 35, reload consumable checkboxes...), let me reorganise my mech bay like I want, stop segregating my hero/phoenix and GET THOSE FRAKKING TRIAL OUT OF MY BAYS !
Also make a "used in mech" checkboxes in inventory to know which item/module is used in which mech.

That would actually be enough to satisfy me.

Sorry , i hadnt found the options to set it to on.
Yes you can via settings set it to full windowed and it works

Or use Alt + Enter

I tried full Windowed and it was just like full screen, except I could no longer alt+tab out of the game.

Thanks Pgi, and all involved. I played around with UI2.0 in test server which deserves another thanks for the ability to try out advancements in this game before GP release. I was impressed then and I am still today, lot of hard work there and it is appreciated.

As with any new release there are a few bugs but as players in any game should realize these will be taken care of in time. Do not become discouraged by unsupportive comments that were not intended to be helpful feedback as the title of this thread suggest.

Just know that we stand behind you guys and think you are doing a great job, the game is advancing nicely, and as any other game out there, no matter how old, if it is online then it is still a work in progress.

Again, I thank you ladies and gentleman for all of your efforts!!!

Hey Bront, go to windowed, it did what full windowed used to for me that is.

My feedback:

Straining my eyes to see the small fonts
Risking RSI with the sheer number of clicks needed
Raising my blood pressure through not being able to intuitively do things
Grinding teeth at lack of (working) filters

Ok a bit more seriously - see what you were trying to do but sadly epic fail. I work in IT and this appears to be a case of design by someone who never uses the UI regularly or in anger

Hope some patching will resolve as it could end up where needed

1st off, hats off to this beautiful looking UI2.0

Just need a few tweeks here and there.

1. Being able to equip engines and modules easier.
2. I CANT FIND MY ENGINES
3. AND MODULES
4. I cant sell my equipment that I own.
5. Buying new mechs in the store does not give you any details of weapons, hardpoints, or whatsoever.
6. still cant send messages to friends while their in game.

thats all. rant over.

Looks great but it needs a few tweaks and buttons added.

I suggest the following

1) add a ready button on the top menu.
2) for the modules,equipment.. all hardware owned it's tough to track down when you want to move it from one mech to another.maybe add them to the owned list and a way to unequipp them from the mech that you aren't working on through the equipment tab.

More feedback:

1) In Full Screen Window mode, you can't alt-tab to other applications in Windows 7. Several others in my unit had the same issue. Windows 8 users did not have this issue.

2) Space no longer skips the movies.

3) Escape won't let you exit menus, Social menu, mech lab, etc.

4) No easy option for quitting the game other than first logging out.

5) I get the connection crash at least once EVERY TIME I START THE GAME! It takes me 2-3 login attempts to get in.

6) If I have no pending edits in the mech lab, why can't I drop? Also, why can't I drop if I'm in the pilot skills?

7) Icons are too big, text is too small.

8) The Consumable issue is a big enough deal that several folks I drop with gave up playing till it's fixed. Fix it ASAP.

9) Mechlab/menu should be allowed to be on a different screen size/resolution than the game. FOr multi-monitor folks as well as folks who like full screen gameplay, but not for the mech-lab.

I'll try to point out the things that (i think)no one have mentioned before.

1.There should have been option to Toggle arm lock ON individual mechs OR Have a REAL Toggle function on arm lock. (toggle means Press once and release ,It on until Press once again its off )

2.There should be an indicator to show you ammo counts and ammo type you have on your mechs .

3.Option to see items as list or thumbnail.Right now it is a sea of thumbnail, make its hard to compare things by weight / damage / etc.

4.Need a toggle function on weapon like Tag / flamer / mg / ams.So we don't have to hold down button during the duration of firing(except for ams).
