...guess not.
This thread has been reminding me of the one about giving out your teammates position.
It stopped being relevant on the first page - but it keeps going on... and on.... and on......

Problem is, we post canon too, and you ignore it. Then, we are suppose to bow down to your knowledge of canon and be all content and happy. Sorry buster. Didn't happen.
In your own words, Ergo, Clan wolf was not weak. That was the ONLY point I was trying to make.

I don't think I have ever ignored canon submitted by others in this thread I know there are times when I have been accepting of Sarna too (the casuality count in Invasion Trial springs to mind)
But regardless, that point is mute.
The fact is that in Canon there are numerous examples of where Clan Wolf is shown to be demonstrably weak compared to other clans and no one here has been able to submit a canon reason why they are strong or 'the strongest' that I cannot refute with canon information.
Yup, thats right, I used the word canon cause that's what it is. And I refute points cause we are having a debate. That's a bit of what debating is about, it's throwing around information and discussion, it implies a kind of conversation. Today though I asked that if we continue to debate the subject we do so on a canon only basis cause you know, it's hard to argue conflicting points when they do not have a common source of origination.
If you (or others) want to have a view based on non canon sources knock yourself out, but you really shouldn't be weighing into a disussion about canon and asserting you know what you're talking about if you have no idea.
Enjoy

Weeeell.... I can when you do that.
And no - I have nothing to really add to this thread.
Mostly because he is listening to us about like I am listening to him now.
I came in hoping (foolishly as it turned out) that I could get him to realize that he WAS ignoring the other people.
Because:
"Thats not cannon because it didn't come out of the sourcebook I claim to have taken from a site from the interweb that I am unwilling (or unable!) to share!"
Is TOTALLY proving his point.
After all - you cannot share what you do not have

So? Where is that source book so I can now debate the points? Haven't you bought one for me yet? I heard you were rich...

Except I was sharing all the time. I'm just not prepared to debate a non canon view.
You call the ignoring, you're entitled to your view.
I call it setting boundries for discussion.
But tomato tomato, if someone has not got a canon view you're right, they do have no contribution to the discussion.

Why am I not surprised you haven't even bothered to read the thread.
Go read posts 1 2 and 3 and post 8.
They are kind of the basis for the whole subsequent discussion.
There are a few others within the content but start there and see how you go.

But I digress. It matters not anymore anyway. I'm going with Shar on this one. I'm just not placing you on the ignore list, as in a later topic you might have something more worth while to listen to...

Your point is noted and the thread has moved away from the OP into rubbish land.
I'm only refuting any specific statements now.
Apparently, no. You don't get it. What he wants is for you to
STOP QUOTING HIM ALREADY!
Is that large enough for you? Or is that still too subtle?
By all means though, continue posting in this thread. Just stop quoting Shar Wolf. He can't see what you write anyway. (Unless someone quotes you, like I just did.)

All I have done is show the canon sources, I haven't painted the worst possible light, it just is what it is.
I get that you don't like it, but if you don't know the canon you don't have a full picture.
And as for Shar, well he seems to be quoting me so I'm not too sure that he cannot read it, but you know best I expect.

At that point someone usually quotes them to add their voice to it - in which case I get to see the important bits
(or at least what other people thought were important)
There has in fact been several people to move off my ignore list - including Victor (Surprise!) twice even.
After that I just left him there.

Victor normally at least makes good points, even if he is opinionated and stubborn about what he feels is a good build or not. This guy though places his lore with his rose colored glasses, picking and choosing what he wishes to post of the lore, and either ignore or deny anything else. Thus, Clan Wolf is weak... (Even though we all know otherwise.) Then he says "That's canon, so suck it up" when we say our sources say otherwise... (Like with the reason Nova Cat's joined the new SLDF... He says it was canon with a vision of a Dragon holding a mauled Nova Cat. Twilight of the Clans say it was because they saw the SLDF reborn, and joined the SL like how the original Kerensky wanted the clans to do... But I'm wrong and he is right...)
I'll spare you from any farther quotes from him. More than likely, he wont post anything I'll need to quote anyway (unlike before).

Sad bit with that is that it is quite possible you are both right - the "cannon" for Mechwarrior is almost as stable as a hole in the fabric of reality.
Case in point - the thread that popped up with people quoting various source books each putting the MG on the Timberwolf in different locations.
Last I checked there were at least 3 different source books (that people linked to at that! HINT HINT NAVI) each with a different arrangement - from both MG in the CT, to one in each side, to one in the CT and one in a side......
It could very well be that he has read (unlikely as that may be since he never linked to his source....HINT HINT) a source book (and possibly even an actual one rather than one of the many knockoffs floating around the internet) where what he claimed is true.
Of course now, since he refused to even name the sourcebook..... (HINT HINT)
Edit: for the record?
Despite the name I claim no connection to Clan Wolf.
The name comes from a character I wrote a story about in middle school - who was thought to be a werewolf.
So he cannot even try to claim that is why I fight him on this

Oh. More than likely, but he at first completely blew my explanation off as "uncanon". His sounds very likely as well, but that wasn't mentioned in the Twilight of the Clans novel. More than likely, one influenced the other and vise versa. However, seen as he had to be right, I guess I couldn't be...
My name came from a .Hack game, where I wanted a name that matched the sound and feel of the other character's names. Then it stuck. I have since used it as my pen name and gamer name... (and as a character name in some stories...)
I did wonder if you felt allegiance to Wolf from your name. And now I know!

And knowing is half the battle!
(sorry)
No, my first introduction to MW/BT was MW2:31st, and since my big brother preferred Wolf, I took Jade Falcon
Young enough to think that red meant bad-guy therefore green meant good-guy
On the other hand - since it was Vlad that was voicing the cut-scenes.....
Which is, I suppose one of the greatest things about MW/BT - you could honestly make a claim that every faction is the "Good-guys"
I have even seen some serious work put into making the WoBbies look non-psychotic - which takes doing!
(of course now - from their perspective they really weren't psychotic....I think?)

You know, as warm and fuzzy as it is to see you two patting each other on the back you still haven't got a leg to stand on to refute the canon I have put forward.
You talk about this Nova Cat thing and I have invited you to put it up much as I have done with numerous Canon sources so we can debate it but you don't. Why are you hiding it. Go re read my post and you will see that far from dismissing it, I invited you to debate it.
I guess your inferences go both ways then?
