Faction score is based on the top 50 players in that faction, but in keeping with PGI tournament standards they don't show us useful information like the top 50 player scores in each faction to check this, or total players in each bracket to judge your rating amongst the participants.
For example, I know from my scores there were at least 700 FedSun players. If my score is now around 500th place, what percentile of FedSun players does that place me? All I know is that there are 499 players in front of me now, but out of how many? 700? 1000? 2000? I know I'm not competitive enough in this game to ever come close to 1st, 5th, maybe not even 50th for something that counts, but if they could tell us the total number of people in the brackets, knowing that you are 500/50000 means you're doing a LOT better than 500/700. Unfortunately we can only tell if we are 500/??? now.
