Heck, tonight, me and my 4 lancemates ended up down 4-7 on Crimson Straits. We fell back to the cliff wall island and waited for the enemy to come for us. They could have just waited and won, but they wanted the kills. So they killed the last remaining guy who was out there thousands of meters away and we waited. The light push came through the gap timed with a DDC and Kintaro capping our base. We destroyed the lights, and were beat up already, but this was worse. We ran out of missiles then killing the DDC and Kintaro and we noticed that the game was now 11-7. Did we charge them? No. It was one remaining Banshee who'd been tearing us up with longrange ridge humping who'd slipped down in the chaos and now had no way back but was smart on hiding in the buildings. He gave a great account for himself too and we won the game with only 1 turret left and the 3 members of our lance doing 10 kills and over 600 damage each. The one member who didn't have a kill was a spotter who got killed early in the game by some very bad luck and still got 7 assists and 300 damage or so.
Now, we hid for almost 4 minutes in the back of that area and waited. Sure we could have pushed, but at that time it was 8 against 4. Suicide knowing they had 2 ECM lights, an assault jenner, a K2, DDC, Kintaro and Banshee in their company. So we waited to see who was more impatient. In fact, I posted in our team chat our intent was to wait to see how impatient they were and whether boredom would be our weapon. They were very impatient, and that is why we won. We held a defendable position, immune from LRM fire coming in, but not going out and we hammered them by staying 200m apart or so when the lights showed up so the LRMs could tear them up or the PPCs or LPLs got to tear them to shreds.
That is a thinking man's victory. The enemy brawlers were very twitch superior, but we chose a better strategy and won because we were patience and had the skill and discipline to wait them out instead of listening to the howls of Ritalin monkeys who wanted a suicide charge so they could get on with their 'lives'.
Well my team was not thinking at all today(tonight your time).
So on frozen city, at the drop ship. Had killed a locust and a jager that pushed because they knew what I didn't.
In the space of 1 min the whole and I mean everyone save a blackjack? and I had chased a jenna into the cave.
Of course the locust and jager would had told their team we were alone, so I got killed quick smart after being rushed.
Now being in a stalker I could have ran and died or fought and died. I fought.
I watched a whole lance throw themselves at the enemy turrets out of the cave entrance and die for no real effect.
This THIS is what realy ticks me off.
I had for some dumb reason thought of typing to my team, "warning the job of the enemy lights is to pull apart the assault blob". Now i should have said nothing, nothing at all.
Did they do that exact thing just to tick me off?
So next match, I shutup and layed ownage on all I could find.
