soo i was on crimson strait, skirmish mode, spawned over by the tracks. decided to do a little up close brawling in a 2ac20 KGC. well the team moves over to the saddle and then just sits there on the lower decks. in chat some one is asking about lrms and uavs. nobody moves up. so i drag my basic only crab at 48kph to the saddle and peak over yep the reds are all there. arty and uav the top of saddle then back down. nobody moves. so it is just this slow crab backing off the hill firing lrms at the reds who for some reason have not shot down my uav. cycle through the targets. only 7 reds clustered together, 2 assaults rest mediums and heavies. all of our assaults me KCG, a DRW and BNC are right there with 2 timbers, a tbolt and 3 mediums backing us up. our lights had taken off around town. so "i type over the top" about the time our lights engage them from behind. i head up the hill and assault but no one goes with me the reds back up in the face of the mighty crab 2ac20s. while in chat i see some folks typing how dumb i was to assault in an assault. so i die the reds kill our lights then their lights attack our back side while their heavies go over the top. yep it was a good old fashion stomp. the whole time i was spectating, well shall we say it was good thing i was home alone and this house is pretty sound proof. watching the DRW play peak-a-boo was madding.

ok maybe i was wrong, maybe i have too much berserker in my blood, but when they are right there and you have superior fire power you need to play steam roller...

They cut my overtime down and I can only work 9 hours/day. While this sounds awesome, all it is going to do is throw me way behind in my work. This is what I get for negotiating an hourly wage instead of annual salary.

Had a new guy on a match a couple of days ago who sounded a little flustered. After my mech was burned, I was trying to encourage him to be patient and take time to learn the ropes, when some other bozo starts griping about how horrible the game is, how slow the devs are to improve things, and that he (the noob) should get out now. Really chapped my backside.

i lost my touch piloting meta-builds.

2 PPC + Gauss Timby now gets me hardly 500-600 damage in a good match,but usually only 200 ish because the team just collapses within seconds of enemy contact.

When i take 2 AC5 2 MPL Dragon,i get 3 1000+ damage matches in a row,jesus.

IMHO, if you're not paid at least 1500 year per hour you are expected to work (not what they tell you they expect) you're not paid enough for salary to be owned. Oh, plus good bennies.

Hourly is usually the way to go. They can rent me for a few hours, but they're not going to own me for a whole year.

Just confirmed to myself that I did, indeed, still know how to play a decent match, and am chalking the absolutely dismal games I played a few nights ago up to being exceptionally tired/brain dead.

Two nights ago, I was practically asleep at the keyboard, played something like 3-4 games in a row where I didn't even break the double digit damage mark and died almost instantly in every match. Logged off in disgust and took a break for the night.

Tonight, rested, and relaxed, cup of coffee in hand, happy to report a swell match in my KTO-18, followed by a pretty decent match in my LCT-1M.

Was afraid I'd lost my mojo. The relief is palpable.

Why is it the BLR 3M sucks? I mean really??? I can't figure out why no matter what build I try, you just can't get the thing to survive a match. XL engine, too squishy, though I always die through CT kills. Standard Engine, you can't track a dire cheese walking by you. You have a 52 point alpha and yet you can't seem to get it to do enough damage to kill a half armored commando except on testing grounds... through the back!!!

Something is strange. I started this summer and I hated Catapults. I dug myself in a pit regarding K/D. Now I have started a long project where my goal is to have 1.0 on every mech I own. I excluded Catapults because I thought it wasn't doable especially since they feel much more dependent on teammates to do good and thus a big factor is out of my control.

A week ago I took out them just for fun. My A1 is now at 1.0 and my C4 at .7. I got 4 kills in one match this evening brawling with the A1 and dual SRM6:s when I was out of LRM:S

lag has been kinda bad for me today. cost me some personal glory.

in CW- started out ok- boreal attacking, got in with light/medium group down the left side. everyone went to gen 2(3? always get those two mixed up) i was trailing so i hopped over to gen 1 alone. got it to half before anyone red noticed. died one alpha away from finishing it. next wave goes in on the right side, i'm in a lrm tbolt. never actually attacked that gen before so working my way around, now start taking fire to where the map says. except someone already got it. now in plain view of 5-6 enemy mechs (and dropship) and try shooting omega instead of lrming from a safer distance- scratch it a little. third wave goes in get it down to maybe 10%.

last wave lights go left, heavies go right. commando (fastest light) gets everyone chasing it as i (2nd fastest) sneak up behind everyone. JJ over a T-wolf and set to fire at the alpha at omega to finish it but...screen...starts...stuttering...and...jumping...all...over...the...place...lag...facing...wrong...way....dead. fortunately the last two stragglers left finished it and we won with 46 dead mechs on our side.

but i REALLY wanted to get the killshot myself, even with lag i had time for two alphas- they just didn;t go anywhere near omega- never had a win come down to the wire like that.
