The crazy part is that this strategy sometimes works when the enemy is so much worse -- making terrible trades in long range fire or solo enemies rushing into the blob (with no enemies rushing their backs while it takes the blob forever to kill that one solo).

I really wish there was viewable Elo to maybe see what the heck is going on... but no. Though, not to say it's impossible to get a GG out of solo-Q, but it's become so much rarer after already being rare a few weeks ago. (And rarer yet, as I become disinclined to play as much.)


note1: in fairness, those players playing that way do enjoy it... and so to them, "gg!"
note2: technically, you could also PuG in group-queue via community boards/ts/etc, but that's different~

90% of the time they don't listen. 1-3 always 'know better'. I've about given up playing on Terra Derpa because the pugs almost ALWAYS go right to the PUG Zapper, stand in the doorway and let the opposition who goes fully into the PUG Zapper focus them down. I gave up trying to help these sad sacks using "Operation Doorstop" tactics and fight the urge to go wander off and power down because it's worthless to play in a group that defends doing fatally stupid tactics over winning because... I really don't know why.

It's why the Rambo Queue sucks right now and the Group Queue sucks because of competative groups just stomping everyone in sight. Not even my casual 8 mans are faring well versus European 12man practice hours... and then it sucks again for North American 12man practice hours. I quit PUGging because this game is lousy alone. It is vastly more fun, losses are more tolerable with friends there as well too. But when being in a group is now a death sentance if you're not practicing as a 12man 20-30 hours a week, who the bleep wants to do that anymore?

dear whinery, today got cured from mwo for another few weeks by players trying to prove that matchmaker changes do nothing.
organised groups sitting on their teamspeak, syncdroping in a solo que, getting 4+ players in a match just to prove there is nothing pgi can do about it.
on the contrary of people say i believe this isnt a bad game.
just people are re*arted.

29 losses in a row and i want to uninstall this game so hard,every single time the entire enemy time focus fires on my IV4 for no reason whatsoever,half of my team cant aim for some reason and i cant even break 350 damage.
Damn you matchmaker,i already hated you,why do you have to twist the knife in the wound :)

Group queue: Arrogant premades.

Last night a Davion group (7 man) on terra therma. They rush off with their plan being put into action. Only thing is, they didn't tell us (3 man) or the other small group (2man) exactly what that plan was....
We stay with our pug DW team mate. WWe try to catch said Davions up without leaving our DW behind to die. We press steadily on and keep him covered. We get rolled by about 6 enemy mechs and die.
I state in chat about the lack of communication and thank them profusely for ignoring us:)

Then the poor attitude started. They didn't care. It was our fault for "running off." I ask why the poor attitude and get yet more snark back. They state it's not their problem and then proceed to play very badly and get rolled.

WHY won't premades talk to each other? I always try to do it-yet I get so few responses, especially from the larger groups! Guys, that small tacked on group CAN HELP YOU if you'd only talk to us and let us know what you want us to do!

WE WANT TO HELP YOU WIN.

Our 5 man runs into the very same situation. Every once and a while you will find a group that will respond to your inquiries, but for the most part they go unanswered. It's an odd scenario, being on the same team, having different objectives.

Kam, I so understand. When this fiasco first started, We got a random Seraphim group together of 10. Ended up with 2 'militia' from Steiner. We announced our plan in chat and said use our ECM to the other guys. It was a rare stomp for us.

Problem is now both the considerate main body and small body are rarities... and that's revolting.

Same again all evening for me-just cannot get these people to talk!
They just don't get that the game ain't the same anymore. There are not 8 sheep on enemy team, they are 8 co-ordinated people wanting to own your face there.
The groups just don't seem to be able to adapt to it.

I try and try and try-all I get is either silence or some language I can't speak:(

Last night on Terra Therma the group heads to the zapper and stands in the doorway (surprise). The guy blocking the entrance obviously dies and then proceeds to blame everyone else for "not helping". He stuck around the entire match flinging out obscenities and insults at his teammates.

I've noticed the maturity level of players drop significantly over the past month. If it is because school's out, I'm starting a petition to make school last year 'round.

Patiently waiting for PGI to fix the group queue so the game's worth playing again by bringing back the "Lance"" mode we all knew till 2 patches ago with the institution of the Solo only and 5+ queues.

group Que is fine. Last 3 games I played with a six man was 2-3.

yeah i notice the heavy/"assaults" prefer to hang out in the back until the light or medium goes in first. then after the light/medium gets killed they...continue to stay in the back. i'm willing to make the sacrifice to get the other team pointing their guns in a different direction so my side can get some nice rear armor target practice. yet they never react no matter how fast or slow i start to move forward (mind you they'll still happily shoot me in the back on the way).

they will of course make sure no one gets past them including the teammate getting shot at though. then if i wait in the back for the slugs to move so i can support them, they complain i'm not doing my job scouting for them. meanwhile the other 9 guys on the other team have made their way around behind us and slaughter us because our 12 guys don;t want to charge the three around the corner.

granted i've taken advantage of that on occasion and stalled 3-4 enemy mechs doing a peek and shoot, but the rest of the team seldom does much with the 11-8 advantage they should have elsewhere on the map and we lose anyway. only seems to work when the other team does it.

sadly i've found that technique only seems to work on the teams i'm on and almost never the other team.
