I think the problem is that it is a 'back burner' idea and 'front burner' ideas can take 2+ years.

TWO main reasons:
  • That proposal does not allow for a SOLO ONLY queue. MANY solo players do NOT want to play with groups...even if it's only against one group.

  • Groups (2-12) + Solo Queue

Because you need 12 players in a match and there are no solo players to take the 12th spot.

Because PGI/Paul is great at overthinking these things. Just like overthinking how assaults should "feel" more lumbering than they already do. Or ghost heat... etc.

No, I misunderstood it actually. I (for some reason or another) thought they'd be capping the entire queue at teams of 10 (IE: you'd only see 10v10 action in this queue, there would be no groups of 12). Hence my confusion.

Thanks, upon re-reading it I realized I'd misinterpreted what was happening in the queue.

TBH there were several threads that suggested adding extra heat to alpha strikes, so Ghost Heat was not created in the vacuum of Paul's mind.

I already quoted paul; That being said, were just gonna have to wait till after CW. We knock them about promises but when they are trying to get things done, there is still something to be mad at. Started countless threads complaining is not the way to go.

note how he says "we can do", meaning there is a chance for group ques. Problems can always be solved. Stop whining, all the damn time. You guys keep changing the argument just to complain some more. You're wrong, I'm a one trick pony. All I've ever fought for was the ability to group with my friends, all of them, not 3 here and 3 there until we could make 12.

All the rest is just precedence about how when they say X, they really mean Y(x)

Jesus, a couple months ago, I was mocking those who would have been pissed about this. Now I see it from their side. Didn't effect me until it effected me.

Can someone explain to me why 6 players dropping into a lobby (with VOIP) and staying in that lobby for several drops all together is totally fine, but 6 players grouping up before entering the lobby is totally game breaking?

your talking about sync dropping? which isnt easy to do, and with the launch module will be even hard if not impossible.

No, I am not talking about sync dropping.

The point of having a lobby is that you don't go back to mechlab after every match. You stay in the lobby with all the same people you just played with and against, unless someone leaves.

All I can say is if after 3 years PGI/IGP does not bring back the ability to group with friends play private matches and have true leagues like all past PC MechWarrior games everyone should stop[ paying into the game let it=MWO die a quick death and hope a company like Bethsaida picks up the pieces and makes it back into a true MechWarrior game.
