Any news on video of Clan VS IS?

I have a few. I've been working on a new intro specific to Stock Mech Eras, and as a result, I fell behind getting the videos uploaded last week. I also had a head cold all last week, so I didn't record voice audio. The videos are kind of dull without any voice.

I'll try to get them finished and uploaded within the next day or so.

I Had fun last night. The smaller drops allowed for more map usage. That fight in tiny town on Forrest Colony was pretty intense.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna make one of those TDRS5b's that thing was a brute, along with that Shadow Hawk Royal.

The SLDF Royal Brigades knew how to get stuff done . Some fun builds Mechs for sure.

Yes either IS vs IS or Clan vs IS, whatever matchup people want to play.

I thought so, but you only mentioned Tech 1 and Tech 2, so I wanted to be sure that clans fell under your Tech 2 umbrella.

I'm enjoying Stock 'Mech Monday so much that I'm considering attending one of the Era Wednesday events for the first time. On the dates where all T2 is allowed, how well do you think a Raven 4X would fare? How about the Catapult K2? Those are the only two 'mechs I own that I think might stand a chance in a T2 game. The only 'mech I own which is even capable of becoming a T2 stock is the Raven 3L, and I don't think I want to spend the ~1m C-bills to downgrade it (and another ~2m if I want to upgrade it back). Moreover, I'm pretty sure that the 3L won't do as well in combat as the 4X, even with the ECM & greater speed, and I really enjoy the 4X for the jump jets. So I think I'm T1 'till the Thor is out for C-bills.

What do you think? Could a decent pilot in the T1 Raven 4X stand a chance of consistently performing well in T2 matches? Or am I going to be consistently crushed if my T2 teammates can't carry my T1 'mech? I have no desire to be fodder for people who are using better 'mechs than the one I'm using -- I had more than enough of that in public (mis)matches, before I retired from the public queue. Now, I understand that many of these Era events are Clan vs. Sphere, with more IS than Clanners to try to balance it, but even so, if the IS are using T2, I suspect that T1 'mechs will underperform relative to DHS T2 IS 'mechs. This is why I haven't looked into the Wednesday event until now, but I'm starting to think I might want to drop in with my Raven 4X and see how it goes. Thoughts?

I generally still run T1 mechs during T2 events and do fine. The K2 is a beast of the stock realm no matter where it is.

Carl, you are distinctly over-estimating the amount of T2 mechs in most SEW nights, but for tonight's match the only mech you have that is legal is the 8Q, the Raven isn't available until 3030 and the K2 until sometime in the 3rd Succession War 2866-3025. Star League night is 2571-2780.

But I imagine we make exceptions from time to time to allow more people to participate.

We're doing IS vs. Clan tonight, right? How do we handle the skill-pool balancing? Some people might not have both IS and Clan 'mechs, so switching highest-for-lowest might not work, but I imagine that many of us do own both both IS and Clan, now that the Uller / Kitfox is out for C-bills. (I do, but the little blighter isn't even basic'd yet.)
