like the new art and I'm not a clanner. really like the Clan Wolf icon, wish there was someway to integrate that into a Lone Wolf icon or something similar.

I applaud this decision, while I do like some of the more vibrant colors you used, I have been looking at clan images since they first came out, these new images just feel wrong.

As far as using a generic image to represent the clans, while I would like my clan to have it's own image (Clan Star Adder), I certainly understand this decision. However I would like to suggest something to all my trothkin. The "daggerstar" is the symbol of a MechWarrior, and while it is an ok choice for us, the whole purpose of Operation Revival (even it's name) was to revive the Star League. If we are going to have a common banner it really should be:

http://fc02.devianta...y_Punakettu.png

We are the true descendants of the Star League Defense Force and this was their symbol. If anyone should wear this symbol, it should be us. The Houses had their chance to elect a new First Lord and chose not to do it. They chose to abandon the principles of the Star League and descend into chaos. While we forever held the Star League as the pinnacle of what mankind could achieve and are still pushing to recreate it.

At the same time Russ opens dialogue with us, I find strange (if not disrespectful) the locking of this pool by a mod, because a "technicality".

Here are the final results:

You can see a trend over there.

I really don't mind that this was closed down. The thread served its purpose which was to draw attention to the developers that the vocal "majority" of people feel that the clan logos as they exist now need to go.

This thread alone is proof enough that that poll thread served its purpose so it really isn't that big of a deal.

Lets save the energy and the debate for the official thread.

Hmmm.... but the Star League is from Inner Sphere (and will be briefly revived to fight against the Clans).

Additionally, the Clans - having descended into a stratified, animal-worshipping neo-barbarian military junta - are about as far removed from the ideals of the Star League as is humanly possible. :)

That the Clans idolize the Star League is one thing; any "heritage" they can claim from association with Kerensky's deserters has been soiled by the Clans as though it were common restroom tissue.

As such, they are not - and can never be - the Star League Returned/Revived, and are wholly unfit to wear the Cameron Star.

I am a firm proponent of keeping the new logos i love them and put my neck on the line socially for keeping them, i do not step in line with the rest of my trothkin. I am rather upset that these new logos that I love and have embraced are going to be striped from me and replaced with the same boring, and ugly logos from 20 years ago, entirely to suite the need of a few players nostalgia. i do not have any real say because the hardliners are in the majority and nobody is willing to compromise.

I propose that you do not change them until you get the needed technology developed to keep both and allow choice that way you can please all party's involved provided that the change it faction has some patience.

You said it yourself Russ you do not have the technology now but you will need it in the future so I ask you way must the logos change, and change permanently right now?

I would rather the emblems be more like the originals. But more than that I want you to challenge the decision with a Trial of Refusal and for PGI to have an event to go with it.

You can always make a forum signature out of the existing images. That way you can keep the spirit of them alive even if they decide to redo them.

They should be closer to the originals. Especially the Smoke Jaguar and Jade Falcon icon. A mild refresh isn't enough there.

HEAVY REWORK!

Very well

Chief Executive Officer Russ Bullock and the Parana Games Interactive Content Development Team. I am Galaxy Commander Raigner Moon of the Clan Smoke Jaguar Omega Galaxy, I issue unto you a Trial of Refusal to strip my clan of its newly forged emblem, I bring with me a Dimi-Star of my finest warriors. How do you bid?

While I'm obviously not a Jade Falcon, that new icon is far superior to the fat pigeon in the old symbol.

So as an outsider, I'd say keep the new CJF symbol. However, please revert Clan Wolf and Clan Smoke Jaguar to the old.

Will the community be able to make a decision on a clan by clan basis, or is it all or nothing?

If CJF needs to go back to a fat green pigeon so we get our grey smoke jaguar back, so be it.

It is all or nothing. Overall, you may want to vote for the mild redesign quiaff?

Also, i am not sure everyone understood this. As i have understood it "heavy rework" refers to the current new logos that hace been heavily redesigned compared to the originals, while the "mildly redesigned" will be the new versions truer to the originals. Is it correct?

I'm too busy enjoying Community Warfare and all the other content PGI has delivered to really care about the graphic design of logos that much!
