Sorry russ, I can't justify to myself spending anymore money on this game. To everyone who spent money on the clan packs I hope they stand up to expectations.

Cheers

Founders Package: Went on good faith after reading up how role and information warfare was going to play out and happily supported the development of this game with a Legendary package.

Pheonix Package: PGI started deviating considerably from their original game design, but still had faith that they would pull through with their new UI and CW. Supported them with an Overlord Package and hoped for the best.

Clan Package: N.O.P.E. When CW comes along, and I see ROLE and INFORMATION warfare be an integral part of the game, as opposed to a cheap afterthought, THEN, I might lift my personal ban on paying money for this game. Until that happens, Not One Penny Extra.

Community Warfare is likely just going to be the same game it is now with a more stringent matchmaker. Win/Losses will alter the stats on a flashy map and you'll get to grind out a faction in addition to grinding out mechs.

A lot more people are going to be disappointed with CW than they will with Clan packs.

You be sure to let us all know when that happens today, Jenner... I have yet to see anything.

Chances are it will be somewhere other than the official website/forum, like twitter/reddit/g+page/tumblr/instagram/insertanysocialmediawebsitethatisnottheofficialwebsitehere/myspace

I just find it offensive that we are this close to clan pack launch and have very little hard data on what everything still is. And they want everyone to preorder... It's kind of upsetting that it feels like the communication is so lacking. What are all the weapons being rolled out, what are the tonnage and stats since they were making a few adjustments I can't just go by sarna. Is anything being added to the inner sphere weapons/tech stockpile to compensate a little bit or is it only going to be the full clan repertoire making it's debut. What does command console and targeting computer do specifically. Clan I visually see clan hardpoints and space allocations smurphy style before I make a purchase. What about reducing inner sphere heatsinks to true double slots? Clans will have 7 crit slot ferro/endo will there be anything at all allowed to pass on to inner sphere. Maybe that's the gimmick to sell clans... make them stupidly imba. Yet this kind of information should have been all made known before any of these tiered prepurchase rewards are implemented. Unique modules, warhorns, the info was all so slow. Asking people to drop over 200$ on something with just the info that you are getting X Mechs + ? Variants which were not said at the beginning is very unprofessional.

But honestly do you think they care what any of us say regardless of how much money we have invested? They just care about the bottom line as long as ppl are buying now, what do they care about those of us who bought yesterday.

So just like MPBT:3025 and how it should have been from the get go? Why would people be disappointed by that? It's HOW IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN TO BEGIN WITH.

Well for one, we have not "invested" anything, we have purchased digital toys. So yes, the money we spent on goods are used up and gone, and so they need to sell more toys to continue their buisness. This does not, of course, mean that they "dont care" about previous customers. In fact, one could argue that a good way to secure future income is to manage customer relations with both previous and potential customers.

I do not think that they ignore you as soon as you have bought something from them, quite the opposit, but I do think they are looking more at metrics then reading though the forums day and night to try to divine what the current players want (NERF POPTARTS! POPTARTING TAKES SKILL! POPTARTING IS FOR LOSERS! DIE META! LOVE META! NERF ACs! BOOST ACs! and so on) since the players want widely diffrent things.

I noticed the Timber wolfs are back up to under 5. Did someone refund out of it or something?

I refunded the clan collection but I might buy it back. The so called rewards are stupid as hell, coffee cup, and digital art....whooptyfukindoo. No real value in any of that.

Still I plan on continuing to play the game and will never be able to grind enough to get teh clans so I either have to give up on the clans in which case I mine as well uninstall the game since I got into this for clans to begin with at all.

Entitled much? The value are the mechs and premium time. Everything else is extra. If you do uninstall, that would have been your 6th time or so.

Oh good that they will still be available after the 17th. Means I can make my choice based on how the community reacts to the Clans.

THis is why I requested a refund, if the clans suck I'm done with this game, the clans is the only reason I really installed the game and if the clans suck and I spent 240 bucks for them I'll be pissed off, I refunded my money which will take a while to get back which is bs but thats just how things work in a business, I went out and bought some awesome lego star wars that are worth some serious money if you keep it in good condition. For me thats true value this age of digital content for full price is utter nonsense and hope people wake up and demand physical value in gaming again. Digital only like this game only means that once they have your money they can take away your ability to play it for good. There is no single player only their word that the game is in good enough state to keep it going till end of the year.

Great announcement !

So everybody grab your bucks and buy the Clan packs, if you havent already bought them last chrismas.

For me, I wont buy them until I know what I get !

So if I had some information about all clan weapons (weight, slots, damage, range, heat and so on) I would probably bought a package - but if I have no info, i wont...

And if all the clan weapons get a dramatic nerf, i will for sure play my IS mechs - and nothing else.
Therefore wait and see - and if the weapons balancing is finished by the end of 2014, i will buy some or not...

Um yes I am entitled to my hard earned money and whether I feel this content is worth spending it on. I asked for a refund after them failing to make 3x4 work, and well when was the last time they released a patch that wasn't broken? So yeah my faith in them is low at this point but still holding on somewhat. I find it sad that you actually follow me to the point of making a point to quote me on something. If I choose to uninstall the game to make a statement and come back when I feel they done something right to make it worth my time to play then thats my right. You cant decide that for me.

Good call I dont reccomend anyone to pay a cent for the clan mechs until they release everything on them. Why would they withold information at all anyways unless they know some of the news will upset people and cause them to not spend money on it? Yup gonna hold on to my money very glad I got a refund just wish it didn't take so long to get the physical money back takes like 10 damn days.

To troll me? Nah I dont see the humor.

I am not taking sarna as the legit source for what they are gonna set the clan mechs for. It's all just speculation based on what a manual says the mech can field and what it can do but this is pgi who have different take on the franchise which a lot of people tend to disagree with to a point anways.
