I can log in, I can config a mech, but damn if I can't play. My ping is terrible. I'm calling it quits. To much hassle to continue wasting time on it.

I am getting the crash (to Desktop) upon quitting the match too.
If I survive till the end of the match it normally does not happen. Generally only if I exit a match where I have died before the match ends.

My best guess is that it happens about 25% of the time.

The error message says:
CryEngine Error

Pure function call

The type of mech used in the match probably doesn't matter, but I am mostly playing the clan med mechs (Stormcrow and Nova).

if it seems to be happening in a certain match type I will note that here in an edit.

My friend Thomas Falcon cannot even get the Public Test Client to run after downloading it. He double clicks on it and it does nothing. No error, no message. It does, however, run in background...still doing nothing.

I had a "Pure function call" error when exiting a match before it was finished. Crashed to desktop.

Played again no problems so far.

Same here. Has happened twice in the last couple hours. I think its only happened when quitting a match that i had died in and hadn't ended normally.

This post concerns a bug in the P.T. Mech Lab that would now let me launch my Stalker model. It stated there were too many slots and that the mech would be striped. However, when I play in the regular build of the game, I have no isses with my Stalker build. Please look into this bug before you issue the official update for the coming clan mechs

Yep seems pretty reproducible, 3rd time quitting match after dying before end of match, 3rd time crashing to the same pure function call error.

Pure Function Call crashes for me.
Think I've had that once or twice the entire time I've played MWO.
So that's new.

seems like im not the only one, whos getting the PFC crash, this happened a lot a few months back and it got fixed, just hope it doesnt translate to the game on the 17th when this all goes live, hope its just an old bug that got over stepped, when patching the PTS client, and will still already be fixed in the normal game client

For PGI's Reference, mine happened once every few games, then once every other game, now its happening every game i leave early, same as it was before on the normal Client a few months back, i mean i guess i can sort of deal with it, for this 12 hours, but im gonna be pretty upset if this same old bug is back for a second time in the normal client

Survive the match = Stay Connected - Die and disconnect to play another mech = PFC error and game crash

I'm unable to play. The game crashes to desktop before the mech lab loads.

Just got finished playing around with the public test after work! Figured I'd throw down some modelling and animations errors I've quickly found.
  • Direwolf and Warhawk's feet animation has a glitch when it puts it's foot back down.
  • Warhawk's cockpit camera un-anchors from it's camera and zooms in widly if something comes near the machine's nose.
  • Kitfox and Adder's feet are not animated at all.
  • The Kitfox's left arm has a modelling error in which it's arm is pitched what seems like 30-45 degrees upwards, much like the other modelling errors in the Orion, Catapult and Cataphract
  • Clan ERPPC says it does 10 damage, not 15, or 10 direct, and 5 arced.
