Nova: An Useless Mech?

The Nova was amazing when it was first released with all the OP'ness of Clan Mediums and Smalls, but now it's a mediocre 'Mech. I wouldn't put it above IS 50 tonners.

Besides that, the Nova is more of a backliner Mech. Personally, I can't make a design for it for the same reason I can't make a design for a Cataphract. It's hardpoints just don't work with me and it is too low lying.
But, you have neglected the number one rule to remember when making Mech builds:
Just because you can't make it work doesn't mean it's trash.

I run a Prime that's almost a stock "B" config. Using S torsos and arms, and prime everything else. I use 6x ERMLs and 4x MGs. damage has dropped to about 100 per kill, often less. AVERAGING 2 kills per battle.
Previously I was getting excited as I breaking 4-500 damage pretty often-couple times over 700, now, I haven't gone past 350 damage, but kills have shot up.
Very interesting.
It sure "feels" like the targeting computer is worth the weight sacrifice. 3tons? that is a lot of armor and heat sinks

well tc1 is worth it, adds 7,25% crit chance, quite a nice buff. but every further ton is only 1% more crit, not really worth it. the -22,5 targeting time si also helpfull to identify weakspoots faster.

I can say I did my part though - stripped the ECM off a cidada and stripped half a Whale, and cored another

Double Gauss to the head took me out when they finally charged
Several of these would almost qualify for "carry harder"

Very well coordinated - but of little value to testing the Nova (or any other mech)
IE: it was over in less than 5 minutes total
12th Donagal Guards 12 man.

Can I please drop the entire rest of my MWO life with you? because usually when i go group queue i see people like lords, and that CSJ tagged gyus they play with. and there Nova is unfun and hard, It feels like WO; why do I survive all these shots. And I tell you would I have piloted a TW we eould have won that match ^^
