actually in past threads, there have been numerous suggestions on how to do it, some even in the recent threads.
I've seen plenty of suggestions on how to "balance" LRM's for (insert individual target ability), but never for all players.

Oh what you think "balance" means...
Balance does not mean that you are just screwed when a Random number generator that you have no influence over decides to give you a bad map.
Why not make a 100% underground map where no LRMs could ever hit cause the ceeling was just as high as the highest mech?
Would not be fair "Lolol you brought LRMs to a bad map you are supposed to be a burden to your team".

Yes my problem is that i want diversity from 2PPC sniping cicadas&co that sacrifice much just in order to be viable.
I want to be able to use a Laser mech without beeing a burden to my team, and that in PPC/AC warrior online, shame on me, i have dishonored my family, thank you for showing me the error of my way, i will now only queue up in my 3Ac5+2PPC banshee, much better for the gameplay for everyone.

Let me phrase this: I can play any mech (got like 3000 battles behind me). And i see that i totally trash people up in LRM boat - constantly doing 700dmg per game. I dont have a problem trashig people up but this has reached a point where I feel forced to play a LRM boat.
It's not like every map is good for LRMs but those frigin missiles are soo good that they can wreck the sh*t appart on any map!
- Caustic valey - classic LRM map you can bassicaly just have 2 scouts and 10 missile boats for the win
- Alpine peaks - LRMs + ER large lasers
- Terra therma - LRMs
- Frozen City - LRMs
- Forest Colony - LRMs
- Tourmaline Desert - Lots of LRMs - the more the better
- Canyon network - the team that has more LRMs pins down the team without LRMs on low gorund.
There are just three maps that are not that much lrm friendly:
- River city
- HPG
- Crimson strait
And even on maps like this I can still do 750dmg with LRM boat...
The game right now entitles everyone to buy their T-Wolf with quad LRM15. Meta has shifted massively towards LURMAGEDON! And this is realy ******** cause using LRMs is super easy compared to gauss for example or any other balistics...
I request a nerf for LRMs - 20% less speed.
If the lurms are not going to be nerfed PGI should expect player base to decline soon because people will get bored with just jumping and shooting lrms. For now I'm gonna make other people realize the fact that LRMs are in fact OP - and I'm going to do that with my T-Wolf and quad LRM15. Have fun taking missiles on the face...
LOL. You do not have 3000 games behind you with that reasoning.

perfect balance is boring. What most game shoot for is balance in advantages and disadvantages. a Brawler has great advantage in close combat such as a city when compared to a sniper or LRM boat. In an open map that brawler is at a disadvantage. He has to work harder to get into a good position for him.. This remains true with the sniper and LRM boat in maps that do not favor them.

Wishing that you are not just 100% dead meat when the MM gives you a bad map is NOT wishing for perfect balance.
I've taken short range brawlers on to Alpine and caustic (both worst case scenario maps for brawlers) and did quite well, sometimes topping the team. Just because the map is not ideal, it does not mean you are dead meat. You will have a much harder time yes, but you are not useless.

No indirect fire unless targeted with TAG/NARC/UAV. Done and done...would be better than all this currently and probably less whining.

Cost of doing business for randomly dropping in a 100% underground map in an LRM boat. I wouldn't come on the forums and cry about it like you do though.
I hope you die (virtually) in an LRM induced fire (in-game).

Not everyone has the brains for that type of play.

Will use the same argumentation the next time someone says LRM boats suffer on city maps.

WoW i really rustled your jimmies now did i?
Are you always such a aggrogant douchbag or only when someone attacks your precious LRMs?
Is clicking the enemy without autoaim weapons to difficult for you? (yay i can be a douchbag too!, only i don't tell people to go die in a fire just because they disagree with me)

lol there's been plenty of times when i've thought "Screw it, they should just remove indirect-fire" I'm so sick of the whining.
I'm not sure i agree with the "only indirect on TAG, NARC, UAV" thought anymore though as it kind of invalidates my opinion that T2 equipment should be optional, not necessary.

1) People are complaining about LRM boats suffering in city maps? Must be miniscule compared to the all the other complaint threads.
2) Nah...I'm only a douchebag when it comes to players that refuse to see the errors of their ways, when many others before me have already shown them how they are wrong.
Also, it was a virtual fire...to be fair, I hope you die in an PPC and AC induced (virtual) fire as well.

Well, it wouldn't be necessary (unless you wanted to indirect fire). I do most of my LRM firing from shorter ranges so it wouldn't bother me as much but requiring those items would bolster the "role warfare" pillar/teamwork idea that is so lacking nowadays (and for the last couple years).

Yeah, i guess it would help the newbies. Plus it would make it possible to give LRM's the direct-fire buff they need!

LRMs are not overpowered when everyone is in voice communication with their team. In PUG matches, an organized 4-man with voice coms running missile boats with a spotter in entirely overpowered. If there was an in-game voip this would not be the case, as teams could coordinate movement to deal with the LRMs.
who would do such a thing??????
