Edit: I should probably add - I am not lobbying for them to do anything different at this point. The damage is done, and there's really no way to repair it without screwing the only players who still like them. It would be bad for their business to change course now other than perhaps cutting the release schedule of the clan mechs down from 6 months to around 2 or 3, but I don't really care. I don't play all that much, and don't intend to, because PGI does **** like this. They have already lost most of the players they are going to lose over this, and the ones remaining either are complicit or will take any beating so long as they get to log in and play. So, damage control is pretty meaningless, now. Carry on, PGI.

LOL.. I see. So people who are skeptical of PGI's design plan and as a result decided not to pay $240 or whatever for a clan package are supposed to shut up and have faith in the company, and wait around for a few months providing the only the IS side of the data while the "real mechwarriors" play with the new tech to see if it's actually balanced around a yet-to-be-discovered "meta" despite appearing to be superior in just about all metrics (fear my mega-sentence!). IS is reduced to the role of lab rat, while clan-buyers conduct their experiments. Participation is fun!
This is a game, and PGI drove a huge wedge through their player base yet again, but this time there is a clear and substantial difference in tech. One look at the pathetic condition of my friends list built up over 2 years shows the result of that. It was a stupid decision that essentially sacrifices a chunk of their player base to filter it down to the ones who will happily be tricked into paying cash for every single clan mech they intend to release before December. Not just that, but if you choose not to pay cash ahead of time, you get the satisfaction of getting pounded on by all that clan tech on the other side of the pay wall.

If participation is not fun, don't participate! Put your game time where your clap is and take a break if you like, or be one of the frontrunner pioneers in finding Clanbuster fits - now's the time to influence the meta if ever there was such a time! Alternatively, you could not make seventeen thousand new threads a day screaming CLANS OP PRANA PLZ NERF, because each and every one of those threads that I find between matches will receive one'a THESE:
ATTN:
Why? Because it's easier than typing it all out fresh every single time this exact same complaint thread pops up!
Joe, Bishop, Iraqi, all the rest: show your support! if you spy a CLANS OP thread, give 'em an ATTN:, so they know where to go! Save yourself some keystrokes and let 'em have a single, consolidated answer!

Oh, that's what I'm doing. If I keep re-typing responses over and over and over and over and over and over and over again, my wrists will turn to mush by the next weekend.
My problem is that people have a psychological fear of the clan mechs, because they haven't seen them, and experimented with them. So they complain without knowing what they are talking about. On paper the clan mechs seem OP, however, if you use 2 brain cells than average, and actually choose to move while fighting them, most of the damage will spread all over the place (including the air), and you'll kill them.

The T-wolf pods don't need to be nerfed. The two mechs operate in completely different ways, and should remain as they are pod-wise.

Also, P2W means buying something that GUARANTEES that you will WIN over everyone else who did not buy. It also means that said item that gives you power, will never ever be available to non paying people. PGI has done NOTHING of the sort, the only mech that COULD be considered (prior to the clans) would of been the Illya with 3 ballistics in 3 different locations. Every other Hero Mech can be rebuilt onto any other mech in the game! They also have done 1-2 weeks of a new mech coming out for MC only before it hits for C-bills. The same stuff has been done for the Phoenix packages too, but no one cried P2W back then when those packages hit. They have done the SAME THING for the clans, the release schedule is a little longer then usual (I will give you that) but IT IS NOTHING NEW!
With all those P2W threads out there....
ilKhan is pleased.

Let’s assume for a moment that all of you get just exactly what you want.
Clan lasers gain 60% increased heat over current levels, the CERSL gets bumped down to 3 damage, and their beam times are drawn out to 1.5s for the CERSL, 2s for the ERML and 3S for the ERLL. 1.3s for the CSPL, 1.8s for the CMPL and 2.8s for the CLPL, just to ensure that there’s no option anywhere whatsoever for short-duration Clan lasers, and also they generate more heat than C-ERPPCs.
Except we also add 5 heat to the already brutal 15 of the C-ERPPC, making it 20 heat per shot and ensuring only one can ever be fired at a time, and also cutting 5 damage out of the pinpoint section of the shot and thusly making it 5 impact and 5 arcing damage.
The charge delay for the C-gauss is doubled over the IS Gauss, and the C-Gauss deals 3x the explosion damage of the IS Gauss, ignoring the Clans’ integrated CASE.
Clan missile ammunition per ton is cut in half, and Clan missiles themselves lose half their missile HP, rendering them twice as vulnerable to AMS even before streaming effects. Clan Streak launcher cycle times are increased to a flat 10s per launcher, regardless of tube counts, and also gain the jam chance Paul had initially mentioned way back in the day.
Clan UACs jam on every single double shot, period, bar none, and gain double the burst count they have now, but at no actual increase to burst speed, meaning the effective ‘burn time’ for Clan autocannons is doubled. No additional ammunition is added to account for the increased burst size, effectively halving all CUAC and CAC autocannon ammo counts.
Clan LBX autocannons now fire in bursts, with their burst counts identical to the current C-UAC burst counts of the same cannon grade, save that each shell in the burst is still a shotgun-style spread shot.
Clan machine guns are removed from the game altogether, and any ‘Mech that equips them in its stock configuration gets empty space/weight where those machine guns used to be. The ballistic hardpoints these M-guns used to offer are removed from their respective omnipods.
Clan ‘Mechs are isolated from the IS ‘Mechs in the queue and are dropped 5v12, a single Star vs. an Inner Sphere company, and start the match in the center of any given map, with the IS lances surrounding them on three sides. As well, 3/3/3/3 doesn’t apply to matches against Clan ‘Mechs – there are no tonnage or weight class restrictions against the Clans.
Clan pilots are also struck with steep C-bill penalties for not adhering to Zellbrigen during matches – fight like an Inner Sphere pilot and even if you win, your match earnings are down below 50k C-bills due to violation penalties for not engaging strictly in a series of honor duels, one-on-however-many-IS-pilots-think-you-have-a-pretty-mouth.
Let’s assume for a moment that all of this happens, that every single terrible idea, rage-fueled spazzout, and panic-stricken PGI PLZ NERF posted in the last week makes it into the game. What does this do to MWO, what does this do to the players, and what does it do to the Commodity warfare Everyone© is so incredibly eager for them to put out? Where do we go, after The Community (except for the N.O.P.E. guys, who don’t care because they want the entire game to fail anyways) makes absolutely sure that the evil, looming phantasm of PEE TWO DOUBLEYOU has been thoroughly eradicated from their beloved game?
Hmm…wait. Are those accusations of hyperbole and grandstanding I hear?
FUNNY HOW THAT SOUNDS, INNIT?
All hyperbole and grandstanding aside…shut your blasted claps for a month and wait. See how things shake out, see what sort of builds and tactics develop. Metas don’t mutate overnight, answers aren’t found in an hour. This is the biggest single features release since the game became playable – did you really think it wasn’t going to be a wild ride? Either sit down, strap in, and enjoy the rumble, or take a damn break already!
Thank you for F****** saying it...someone needed to do it.
You need to hang around our TS more often...

- Mechs at Release for MC OR Credits , no waittime for "free to players"
- If i can Buy Credits for MC , why no MC for Credits ?
- If i buy a Hero Mech i have to pay MC, but can sell it for Ingame Credits - WtF...?
- Some fair Package Prices would be ok like 10 Bucks per Mech, but 30 ? Are you kidding, i get a whole game for that (a Game that is "Final" ...btw), and a single "a la kak" Mech for over 50 bucks ? for sure...we are all Millionaires out here XD
-some of the "Game" that you promised since early Beta.
At the moment , its a high overprised Mech Skirmish Game... nothing more
And now to these Trolls that will say : "... He isnt a real Player , hes got not even a Phoenix Packet or is a Founder..."
- No iam not, cause i can also smell a stinking fish, if i see one (and i am not a Millionaire, but a german guy, so please ignore my bad english if you find it offending )

I detect an open clap!
Paragraph 15, Line 1!
And no, I don't care how much money a player has or hasn't spent on MWO, I care if they're being dumb or not. Or if they're being hypocritical bassholes like the N.O.P.E. crowd. if you're neither of those, then no problem! Wait to see what happens like the rest of us! As for your list:
1.) And give up all that preorder money? Not likely! Does indeed suck for free-to-players, but there's nothing we can really do about it. Timed exclusives make money, and somebody has to pay the bills until they get your oh-so-precious Commodity Warfare going!
2.) Because the N.O.P.E. guys don't need any more help being unhelpful trolltastic hipsters! And also because it defeats the purpose of a pay currency in the first place without an actual economy to back it a'la Guild Wars 2!
3.) Don't do that! It's not smart!
4.) Don't like it, don't pay it! Put your money where your clap is!
5.) Don't even get me started on Commodity Warfare and all the bullshyte surrounding it! You won't like me when I'm ranting!
