Can confirm I sent you 31 battle results that have occurred in the last 24 hours. All solo and either Skirmish or Assault mode.

Cheers!

I've sent you some shots (solo queue).
As I said in the email, I dont agree with your efficiency arguement. I think those results are simply due to clan lasers having a longer beam time, missing mechs with some ticks more than IS mechs do - but still putting down the same (more actually, as your results show) than IS.

Clan heavies and assaults are vastly superior to IS (and the timber wolf is a joke).

Missed damage tics don't show up as damage on the End of Match screen. So the Inner Sphere is scoring their kills with far less damage on the 'Mech than the Clans - this is what the data shows. The Clans, on their part, are dealing out more damage overall (the CERMLAS, for example, does more damage/tic than the MLAS) and spreading that damage more. So the Inner Sphere is more efficient at killing than the Clans - but the Clans don't seem to need to be efficient. Witness the dominance of Clan Heavies and Mediums.

clan mechs were suppose to be able to deal more pure dps out but the way heat is since most mechs are more energy base weapons makes it much harder to deal out a connstant dps, clan mechs have more a burst dps then deal with heat

Kiiyor, a suggestion: Would discarding based on zero match score, rather than 0 damage, yield more meaningful results? That should discriminate between disconnects and the odd Sacrificial Jenner.

Ran across this thread a few days ago. Just ran across it again and just wanted to say thank you to the OP, as many have said this is a GREAT post and very interesting.

This thread pretty much trumps any and every 'I have a screenshot of me doing well in X mech. Thus it is always so for everyone' post.

It's funny that despite being behind a paywall, the TWolf is used more than twice as much as any other mech.

Well it is the iconic Battletech mech after all. I just wish it lived up to its hype. It is a fun mech and relatively good but I only manage very average performance out of it. Others may be having a difference experience with the TW but It is definitely not a stand out mech for me.

The general amount of clanmechs is rather interesting. Seems like the "almost no one will buy clanmechs for so much money" crowd was way off the mark with the forecast.

Then you're doing it wrong, because it's an absolute beast.

I would assume its because Almost all players left in MWO are PAY2WIN diehards and all the new players were driven away long ago.

What an unsupportable and ideologically-derived statement.

Im here after a break of one year without mwo. And with the clans the game is so much better now. You have more brawl then before. And i didnt have any clan mechs. So for me the fun is back like it was in the closed beta. And i think the last updates going in the right direction now.

And i agree but it is just 2 years to late to bring back all the players MWO has lost without a major internet and TV add campaign.

Man, the stat differences between IS Mediums and Clan Mediums is huge.

You would love the ryoken, Jman, since I know you like the hunchback sp.

The ryoken is like the sp was in closed beta, only better since it is fast while also being durable.

Would it be possible to make a graph showing how/if the difference in number of clan mechs between teams affect (for example) wins and losses?

It would be interesting to see if the advantage is additive or exponential, and could give a better insight into what the clan vs IS balance might look like on a team basis.
