XL360, AC5, srm6, 2 medpulse, 2 medlaser.
Now I play for fun with lbx10, srm6, 4 medlaser.
Sometimes i swap ac10 or lrm5 just to do things differently.
I also have erppc raven and 2 ppc ac20 srm18 fatlas @58kph which is a beast.

runner up would be firestarter fs9-K. 6 mlas, 3 per arm work like scalpels in a fast nimble mech.

It's situational; but i love its looks and if the team carries a little it's one hell of a brawler surprisingly. Additionaly; the introduction of RDM stopped this absurd screen-shaking bug that filled your viewscreen with explosions as soon as one peeked out of cover. In all that racket i couldn't even make out what Betty said about that before dying.
The only mech that just might have a chance of competing is the Mad Dog... whenever that will be released.

Maybe the Timber Wolf once I take it for a spin.

my ON1-K: 4 Med lasers, AC/20 and AMS is the loadout i've used on this since i got it way back when they first came out (along with the Protector and ON1-V) and i love this mech with it's good heat management and the feel of that AC/20 for the ultimate gut punch.
my HBK-4G(F): this thing has been my medium of choice since CB, 2xMed Lesers and an AC/20. I added more AC/20 ammo so i can use it as a primary weapon and by god it feels so good, adding that to the speed and manoeuvrability makes it a brawler to be feared

Spider 5D, Nimble, I can provide support if I want. I can solo and snype if I want. To me pretty much the perfect Mech.
2nd to that would be my Atlas. ECM, Missle Boat, Short Range.
Notice my 2 favorites are ECM's....because missiles are way way to powerful, and most people do not realize how important they are.
Usually when I'm in my Spider I run solo or with some light fast friends.
My Atlas is always with the group and supporting it.

But hands down it is the Derpjager, Boomjager or whatever you call it just for the lolz, one shotting lights NEVER gets old.

I'm a sucker for symmetry and form over function. I don't know if it's the barrel chest, the Popeye forearms or the visage of the mech surging forward which it's chin tucked into it's clavicle... It's just a classic looking human-bipedal mech IMHO.
But then I go and bust that entire premise with the Cataphract seated solidly in the # 2 slot.

Seriously!!
I don't care about the most effective loadouts, or which has better hardpoints, or who has higher mounts.....
Every single mech in this game is my favorite. I've been into the genre since the early '90s but this is the first game I have been able to seriously play. I really have to hand it to the PGI art department. For me, they brought these mechs to life in a realistic gritty fashion (SO glad they didn't anime them up). There isn't a mech in the lineup I wouldn't drive. Maybe I'm just a simple person with simple tastes, but I'm ok with that.

I also really like the kit fox so far, but I haven't had enough trigger time with my other clan mechs to really pick a favorite yet.

Only a couple run in it so far, but it is pretty nice! It feels fragile sometimes to me though.
