Guys, I think I've finally found a non-meta Timberwolf that I LOVE:

The Gauss enhanced laser wolf.

Best part about this mech: almost no heat issues. So you get to shoot, shoot and shoot! ;)

No. I tried a different SPL build with the timber but didn't really like it. I like to engage at mid to long range. This build is dominating at mid range over almost anything.

The main drawback is that the gauss needs to go on the st, which is dangerous. A safer build is to place the gauss on the right arm and do 5 er ml. If you want to increase damage, I've seen jagerxii replace one of the er mls with a lpl. That works great except you have to get rid of targeting **** like the cap and the tci or tcii.

For small pulse lasers, various sjr ppl have been running gman's spl SRM build and doing well with it.

I believe its something like 4x srm6 with Artemis and loaded to the hilt with spls. When actually running that build however, you would mostly fire either the srms or the lasers, not both together.

ROFL, they are censoring a.i.d.s. :)

PS - the build above is a 64 pt pin point alpha (if you have good aim), which is why components and torsos were evaporating left and right on that video. Also, as you can see, the heat is completely manageable.

The lack of MGs makes me a sad panda. The damn things are just too light here, correct?

Modo, I just don't like machine guns. :P

On this mech I'm not sure there is a ballistic slot left. You could replace one of the mediums, but it doesn't sync with the ml range or battle rhythm.

I tend to avoid well roundedness in my mechs in favor of creating a specific highly favorable engagement zone and fight style, in this case that's 250 to 600 m, target locked to read out exposed components with repeated alphas with the help of terrain cover. Then its just a chess game to get into the zone. :)

I was thinking ERSLs with MGs in the torso (one group), but then there is really nowhere to go with the saved tonnage. :)

Say Jiggly, will you post an update on your latest cheesecake recipe? Gauss + 6-7 ER Meds seems delicious!

Here ya go. Only the TBR-C can do the 7 laser build because you need the laser slot on CT.

TBR-C 7 er ML + Gauss

Just use it responsibly or you'll bring down:

Non Meta?
2xCERLL
2xCERML
2xCSRM6

Ain't no Meta in it. It's the Anti-Meta.
Best build? Probably not.

2x LRM15, 2X ERML, LB20X (arm mounted w/ 4t ammo) is a monster. Wear them down with missiles, and by the time things get close, the LB20X is just murderous.

I couldn't shoot straight to save my life..... But I'll try anyways, just to inflict the OP.

Though, I'm using sometimes Phil's Brawler Wolf w/6 Er Meds + Uac-10. Very dependable.

TBR-C

Because, well, why not have a 90-point blank alpha. Use the PRIME with one less ML if you like Cbills.

Oh I forgot to add that on my own build I actually replace the TAC 1 with an extra heat sink, but basically you can allocate the weight amongst gauss ammo, heat sinks, CAP and TAC as you like.
