And what about huge amount of clanners piloting IS mechs?
we have a few who run clan mechs, and I dont recall them wasting too much time in any of their older IS mechs.
its about as funny as asking clan mech jocks if they are "ok" with the nerfs to their rides.

Are you guys daft....? Clanners...IS pilots? At the moment....affiliation counts for absolutely NOTHING...nada...zip......because PGI hasn't delivered depth to the game or the community warfare module yet...yes i know it's coming....
So how about we see what sort of crap....oops i mean result that PGI actually delivers before we go debating about things such as 'clanners' and IS pilots...it's a waste of time and spit at the current moment....

IMO,
Community Warfare will be a bust, a pipe dream, and only for paid private matches.
How they intend to put this on the public queue's with IS affiliated pilots in Clan Tech I have NO idea. Saw that on the Clan v IS test day, Clan Mechs in the hands of Inner Sphere affiliated pilots.
This is 3050, Clan Mechs hadn't got into the hands of the Inner Sphere for another few years and it took a nasty little ambush with a good amount of deception for the Kuritans to get their hands on Elemental Battle Armour that didn't happen until 3054 I believe.
Clan Tech should have been held back a year, with Community Warfare first started in the Fourth Succession War.

3051 - Conference on Outreach. Col. Jamie Wolf, CO of Wolfs Dragoons, gathers the leaders of the 5 major houses and the Free Rassalhauge Republic at Outreach to discuss the clan threat. Wolf reveals that the Dragoons were a Clan unit, and that they have tech spechs for Clan Omni Mechs circa 3019. Wolf and his Dragoons train the young royals (Victor Davion, Hohiro Kurita, Kai Allard Liao, Cassandra Allard Liao, Sun-Tzu Liao, Ragnar, Magnusson) eventually awarding Victor and Hohiro each a Dire Wolf Omni Mech. Just prior to this, the Draconis Combine had won several Omni Mechs and Elemental suits in the Trial of Possession of the world of Wolcott.
3052 - Clan Smoke Jaguar and Clan Nova Cat attempt to seize Luthien. A combined task force of The Genosha, The Dragons Claws, Wolfs Dragoons, and the Kell Hounds, turn back the invasion, and the inner sphere units reap a large amount of Clan salvage.
So technically, we will start seeing clan tech in 3051. Good luck keeping it out of the game however. The Clans should not have been introduced yet, but they needed testing, so I foresee a lot of very restrictive rules about the clans for a while, with the first pary being the 12 v 10 testing next weekend.

They wont be able to do that in community warfare from the beggining.
Pub match is imho perfect way to let those who puchased clan tech play them, while not really affiliated to them.
Most people paid for those shinny new mechs, because they are well.... shinny and new.
Once devs start introducing new IS battlemechs, im sure IS folks will be motivated again to play the role they originally planned on playing.
Thats what this is about. New content.
Its kinda sad though, that after few months from clan tech (which was under production another few months if not year...) pgi comes out with bunch of screwups, they call patches/hotfixes, containing strange" balancings" (overnerfing and then rebalancing overnerfed waponry/equipment/mech for another few months till they realize: "oh! we fkd up! Now we see that!"), fixing few bugs, while creating more, causing server desyncs, global lags...

that's news to me, I've never read that anywhere. Could you point me to that statement from PGI?

The Clan ERPPC is marginal given its damage output. It could use a speed buff, say, +300 m/s.
The IS ERPPC needs a speed buff in the worst possible way.
At rng 810m the damn thing takes almost a full second to reach it's target for full damage. Considering the massive heat generated for 10 pts of damage and the lack of sniping ability regardless (or in spite of) range it is simply too slow.
A greater buff than the Clan version would be nice to see, say +400ms.
Otherwise the payoff simply doesn't exist for an IS ERPPC and the others are marginal.
My two cents.

well I dont' agree with all of that, but yes, now can we look into the 3 year cycle of "nerf this, nerf that" that has NOT fixed anything around here?

well since this plays right into this latest round of nerfs I felt it was relevant to the feedback

Maybe there is hope for MWO yet....
Learning?.....Niko asking that question is completely just for show..it's the bare minimum of his job requirement..they don't care about what we think, not the least....they won't ACTUALLY address any points. They don't seriously consider any of our feedback.
They spend every waking moment thinking how else to piss us off ..giving us quick band-aid solutions, often to the very problems that they create on purpose!....that's all they do.,.
They always break something that's not broken, then sweep in with a hot-fix which then makes them look like 'heroes' to the unsuspecting masses, and they rinse and repeat this process for months on end which gives their management the false impression of 'progress' and 'game evolution' while yet cleverly not delivering any REAL forward progress or forward momentum at all.....
It's all pure dressing....a skill that I must say they have excelled in. It is THE only skill, unfortunately for us the players and the game that PGI are currently adept in.....

I haven't even activated my founder premium time at all...simply because I saw no real value in activating premium time when there is no depth to the game as yet.
When I started this game 2-3 years ago, I was rather optimistic that I would be activating my premium time when more depth and perhaps community warfare would be launched in a few months after my joining.
Fast forward YEARS........and still, the game is as devoid of depth as the day it was launched officially way back then.
Oh....how foolish was I......oh how foolish was I to put such faith in the Posse of Great Idiots (PGI)..........LOL
Ps. To the Posse of Great Idiots (PGI), news flash....releasing a new mech or map or two every 1-2 months is NOT game depth and is hardly even considered 'MORE CONTENT'. This is what really really bugs me.... other games practically start from scratch often developing lore from the ground up. But PGI has the luxury of tapping into the existing battletech lore and even adapting from the game mechanics, but YET, the game is still lacking such MONUMENTAL depth, you'd think that PGI were real time creators of battletech!
Atrocious!
