I believe Russ specifically mentioned on the Town Hall stream that we would NOT get the Kodiak, Shadow Cat, or IIC mechs.

What ever the 5th exclusive mech is, I think founders should get it for free, no questions asked.

As one of those Founders.... perhaps... no. :)

The Peacedove (Warhawk) has fairly good agility, although it's not amazingly fast (71 kph is still good for an 85 ton mech, though).

It's no WubShee, but I guess it's quick enough.

Now that we know what is happening I agree with many of the posters as to what the next wave of Clan mechs will be, for many of the same (MASC) reasons.

Light - Mist Lynx
Medium - Ice Ferret
Heavy - Mad Dog/Hellbringer (one of these will be the exclusive)
Assault - Gargoyle

I can't say I'm happy about another Clan pack after they said no more Clan packs, not a good sign, but at least this time I am assured of the Mad Dog. I just hope I'm not expected to spend $250 to get it for free...

Corbon - forget the Super Nova - its BattleMech not omni - its goes at the same hole as the Kodiak and IICs , sadly that is one of my only few favorite Assault Mechs .

P.S.

Has no one talked about the Shadowcat? This is the clan mech I've been waiting for

It uses MASC ergo the lack of mentions.

Also, Russ explicitly mentioned it by name that it is not coming, because as said, no MASC in game.

i am going to say the IMP since its the way to get people their urbanmech without doing the urban mech.

Pillager, KingCrab, Devastator... FTW. All for C-Bill's and Binary Laser Cannon as a bonus.

The Supernova was still a key mech in the Smoke Jaguar forces.

Russ never said that the clan pack was going to be all Omni mechs.

Other Candidate's include some IIC variants:

Locust IIC

Hunchback IIC

Orion IIC

Highlander IIC

These would be easy to produce in a 2 week timespan minor editing of graphics and updating them to clan based weapons.

So it's still mech packs before anything else? Is this the new business model after IGP left? Wait, why does this feel so familiar....

Come on folks. Come on.

Let's not give them a hard time over revenue generation. If they did have buy out/payback IGP to gain control over the IP and game, it's not too hard to imagine the Phoenix and Clan sales is what it possible. A significant portion of that revenue is likely gone, so let's support a now independent PGI with this sale so they can actually fill their own coffers and have the finances in place to further development of MWO.

Well it was put down to Nov/Dec, and that MIGHT be after next CW module comes in... ( I am giving it a strong MIGHT because I share your concerns and we all know they set their time limit to dec 21st I belive it was?).

This is the 3rd mech pack and every time everything had to be pushed back. How many times are we expected to accept this same old business model? 4 times? 5? 10? IGP, PGI it's all the same. It's business as usual every time, nothing new.

Every time they work on mech packs, everything else is put on hold. Every time. Do you expect something will change this time? I know my answer to that.

I wonder about that exclusive mech. I doubt it will be truly unique mech (unique chassis and all), rather i reckon it will be an unique hero version of a Clan mech (like Timber Wolf Pryde config with C-bill and XP bonus), like the original 4 Founder mechs are.

Oh dear.

Can you imagine the incendiary nerdrage if a Timber Wolf Hero 'Mech turned out to be the pack incentive?

Man, this place is volatile enough already...that'd be like driving a tanker truck off the edge of a volcano...
