The Atlas S have 2 rear facing SSRM. I see 2 possibilities here since its a AS7-D ( CT 2 energy, LT 2 Ballistics, RT 2 missiles, and 1 energy on each arm). I doubt we will have rear firing tubes so we will assume they will face foward.

Config 1; If the 2 rear facing tubes were in the CT that means that the 2 energy HP that were there would move to the arms which would allow the AS7-S to work like the AS7-RS or a lesser version of the Boar's Head ( energy wise) and a potential 2SSRM's streak zombie mode.

Config 2; have the rear facing tube on the RT with the other 2 regular missiles HP, for a big total of 4 in that section, 4 SRM 6 pleasure in your face?

While writing that topic i tough of a third way this is so unlikely i wasnt sure if i should even mention it or not.

Anyhow config 3; keep 1 energy HP per arm and the 2 energy HP in CT but split the 2 Ballistics and 4 missiles evenly on each side torso ( 1 ballistic and 2 Missiles). This would give greater build configuration and also allow a twin AC20/ AC10 configuration which would cause trouble with all previous AS7 variants by making it " too strong", even tho it would be nice to see that.

What do you guys think? Which configuration is the most probable?

My guess ->2 Missile Hardpoints in the Center Torso - so either 2 SRM4 or 1 ASRM6 on top of the 2 in the left Torso.

Nothing special.

the AS7-S will probably look like...

LA/RA 1 Energy each (2)
LT 4 missiles
CT 2 Energy
RT 1 Ballisitc 1 AMS?

alot of mechs in lore have rear facing weapons, but never in the game series they are always made fore facing weapons. :)

4 Missile Hardpoints in the Left Torso would be awesome.
Might even be a contender for my DDC than.

Of course the AS7-S would be without ECM but a huge upgrade in therm of braling compared the the D-DC, this one will have a potential extra SRM6 and a zombie mode with the twin energy HP in the torso. Scary when you think of it....

1x Energy in each arm
2x Energy CT
4x Missile in LT
1x AC in RT.

Giving it more ballistics would obsolete the AS7-D.

Sorry for sounding dumb, but what exactly are ala carte mechs and how do you buy them? What's the minimum spend? The wording suggested you still have time to become eligible for Atlas.

Since the Atlas-S is the Atlas-D but with double heat sinks and 2 SRM2s added replacing 5 SHS, I would expect that the 2 CT energy would stay in the CT like the D, and the missile locations to either be split between the LT/RT, one in the Head and one in the RT, or both in the RT.

http://mwomercs.com/clans#page4

Free choice of one Clan chassis with three variants for 55 $.

Consecutive mechs become cheaper.

This, check bottom of the page, should have all the info you need, also the golden mechs come with the full 240 Warhawk package, from there its up to you.

P.S. DO NOT BUY the Uller and Black Hawk a la carte! These 2 are much better bought with the regular packs.

The -S has it's two Streak launchers in the LT, where the other launchers are. 4xSRM4 would be a distinct possibility if the two Streak hardpoints are at least 4 tubes per launcher. Sadly, 4x Streak-2 is much depreciated these days. :P

But that is kind of what the AS7-S did the AS7-D...

Also in lore, the DDC doesn't have ECM as standard...

see the section on varients....

http://www.sarna.net...28BattleMech%29

The AS7-K2 had ECM though....

Im gonna go with 2 ballistic RT, 4 Missle left torso, 1 energy in each arm, and the CT energy points are a toss up...

They could stick them in the arms. That would be really interesting.

Not if you have a founders one. Because its still way better than the Boars head for extra cbills.

One of my best mechs before ghost heat was an AS7-RS with 4 LL or 4LPL for closer incounters + Gauss rifle, that thing was wrecking the opposition and Boar's Head could do the same but even better. Well from there its a question of preference i guess.

I do like the AS7-D but i sure wished the 2 CT HP were on the arms or maybe fit 2 CERLL in CT

Nice pic ;)

I hope there is only one Missile Hardpoint in the Right Torso - because all the rest belongs to the AC/20.

But if i had the choice i`d take 4 Missile Hardpoints in the Left Torso.
