sorry..... dunno what you want...too distracted rewatching roomba sharcat over and over again.....

1. The thread is trollbait, and has been reported for moderation as such. Not being one to pass up a particularly delectable piece of candy. It got Sharkcat.

2. The thread is the very definition of flamebait. As is evidenced by the dickwaiving going on in it. Its premise is to immediately polarize anyone who visits it into the "White Knights" who agree with the OP, and anyone else is a "Black Knight" or a "hater"

3. It's a spurious premise, because without quotes and just saying "We were right" it fails under the weight of its own hyperbole.

Fail thread is fail. Now lets see if moderation is even-handed here, shall we?

Fair assessment. I use to put these threads in Off-topic rather than Gen. Diss

actually, at most, Thread would be moderated for individual flamage. The OP itself is not inflammatory nor attacking any parties. (and as Tichorious noted, possibly Off topic, though GenDis, is also, by definition an acceptable place)

Biggest reason certain OPs get moderated. Calling any "Thanks for all the Stuff" or any overtly positive thread flamebait is pretty laughable.

Now many of the individual posts on it, my own included? Yup, fully open for careful Mod Consideration.

But hey, let's see how you r little experiment works out. Just don't fly off the handle should it not be what you expect.

Challenge accepted, lets see what happens. I do admit to being a bit giddy recently (duh) and this thread is certainly a result of that, but I certainly didn't write it with any insidious message or intent. Being a white knight isn't always easy so I take what positivity I can get. :D

Eh, the whole premise of the thread and OP is an "us vs. them" mentality. It just helps perpetuate the rift in the community.

Hey, I'm all for giving atta-boys when they're deserved. And as is evidenced by my very presence on the forums, I think that there may be some good shining through.

But in this "new era", your delivery totally sucked. Try to post without polarizing. We've all had a rough year with MWO and camps were formed.

If, IGP being gone does show that they were the bad guys all along, awesome, I have a little bit of vindication too because I said that over a year ago when I was cheerleading, but you have a whole bunch of burned people coming back right now.

Let's dial the rhetoric back about 20%, shall we?

Let's see if there can be a mutual reduction?

I just started polishing my pitchfork though...

But ya seriously. Don't discredit people's opinion unless they are making lousy arguments. Compromises exist.

So I should walk on eggshells around those who gave up instead of toughing it out like a lot of us did? Not my style bro. If they can't stand positivity, move on. I wasn't put on this planet to sign the cast encasing their hurt epeens and no one is forcing them to stick around and endure my bubbly attitude.

They can mod me if they like, but it's their choice and no one had as big an issue with it until you graced the thread with your presence. Mayeb you're the one looking for the conflict here.

There's nothing wrong with positivity, just like there's nothing wrong with negativity.

Good positivity: "I like this (insert feature/mechanic here)
Bad Positivity" "This game is awesomes and you're stupid for saying anything negative about it no matter how many other people in the community agree that (insert mechanic.feature here) is creating problems or needs to be improved"

Good negativity: "This sucks! Here's why, and while I'm at it, here's a few suggestions that could help"
Bad negativity" "This sucks! You suck because you like it!"

There's a difference in there. If you're being constructive then negativity or positivity shouldn't matter.

I don't see a problem with your OP tbh. You sound excited, the best defense against negativity is just being happy and positive.

In light of new starts, fresh beginnings, kumbaya and all that jazz, should I avoid the inherent irony here? ;)

I agree with the sentiment, though.

The worst someone can really post against it would be, "Well I'm glad you like being lied to. They give you free stuff and you're going to automatically forgive everything??!"

If someone gets worse than that, it's not the OP that did it.

This has nothing to do with Us vs them, or Neg vs pos. It is simply what is, that is what I think.
