please get your mech engineers to stop messing up the design on the mechs. if this is the "cost" of customised looks, i'll do with the non-customised looks any day.

Does this mean the Atlas and King Crab loyalty mechs skins will have Urd and Skuld on them or will they too be Verdandi?
I mean if you want loyalty, Belldandy is your girl. I smell an anime fan around here . . .
Calling it right now: if there is an Urd and Skuld then Urd is the Atlas and Skuld is the King Crab. It totally fits

Yup..probably not. Probably use the same generic Norn for all 3.

and it seems that this would have been a better looking and and quicker re-model for the ballistic arm:
and i must apologize, i dont remember this guys forum user name: its the teacher or agent cooper.

Gotta agree with you on this one. The dynamic hardpoints tend to look like they take the path of least effort, and while the Cent doesn't look as bad as the Catapult or a few of the others, I just keep hoping that they forget about the dynamic hardpoints before getting to any more of the old chassis. The old models are just dripping with personality, and they all look great. The dynamic hardpoints always look bland at best and hideous at worst.
Giving the CN9s arms like the above would have had much better visual impact, but I'm not all at surprised it didn't happen, given the track record on the subject.

Wait, are those really good looking CGI models or did someone make RL toy models of those mechs?
Either way, pretty amazing job.
those are real models. bloody amazin they is.
and the cent use to have a very good hitbox for the CT (one of the mechs only beneficial traits), however last year when PGI started making adjustments to the hitboxes the CT box was stretched out to around 50% of each of the side torsos.
back then a good cent pilot could regularly end a game with just a CT left, but since the change (and the addition of clan mechs) its very, very difficult to pull of a zombie. makes me sad

You know you have an indicator light for that, right?

Right now I run a normal AC10 on that thing... I might swap to an LB10X with a cooldown module and an extra ton of ammo just to see how much of an auto-shotgun this thing ends up with.

Great work on this one!! Celtic knots and a real shield!
Keep up the great work.

If that was celtic art on a mech called the Centurion I'd take it as a personal insult and do anything, even throw games just to kill them on sight
Fortunately it's germanic so it's not my problem

Not sure if "op", but it was quite strong at the same time the CPLT-A1 was widely considered OP. At the time, SRMs were bugged, and doing more damage than they were supposed to. Combine this with the CN9's narrow CT hitbox and the damage soaking ability of the arm stumps (AC20 to the right arm stump, damage halved and transferred to side torso, and if it was on the right side, the RT was usually empty, and if destroyed would transfer half damage to CT... So, an AC20 to a mostly dead CN9 would deal deal a whopping 5 damage to the CT if the pilot was on top of his twist-tanking. Even if sloppy, still only 10, because the CT hitbox was very narrow and easy to protect.)

It looks like a flat box with two sticks sticking out right now.

No, it was very broken. Even after the CT got enlarged slightly and shrunk the STs the Cent could still Zombie incredibly well. What made the Cent Zombie broken was that there was geometry that was incorrectly assigned on the mech. You would hit certain portions of the mech and the damage would be magically transferred to the LA. Fixing this brought the Cent to about on par with the 4SP Zombie build. The 4SP often sported more potential firepower than Cents before getting Zombified while the Cent was a little more durable at this point as well as more center aligned weapons.
If you want to talk about what slayed the Zombie Meta it was HSR fudging SRM Hitreg (a big deal because SRMs were big damage dealers on Zombie Builds) and the release of the Shad, a Medium Mech that by Meta Standards could actually function in a straight up fight. "Hunchback's firepower without the hunch and with jumpjets." It slayed almost every medium build in terms of "Meta Standards."
You can accurately say that before the release of the Shad every medium was in a poor spot in comparison to the other weight classes. The Shad blew minds at how good it was and set a new bar for performance in the medium band, something that surpassed the Zombies of the day.
