I would if I could still get them to run!
All the fixes I have found have not worked. :(

Still run MW4 though - when I cannot play MWO. :P

Just install VMWare Player and find clean Windows 98 vmx image on reliable source. Way to go.

Already tried that.
Didn't work. <_<
Also dug through every single forum I could find that talked about it and tried every. single. fix. offered.

Even downloaded that set from TPB.
Didn't. Work.

I've got some friends who are good with PCs that should be coming up next summer I am going to have take a look at it
Until then - I am not even going to look at my disks.

Edit: and by didn't work - I mean I even have a Win98 PC still running, and could not get it to work on that.
Disks are near mint - so that is not the problem.
All the files are still on the disk.

They even run on my brother's laptop fine
Just not on a PC I have steady access to.

Nice collection. Only things missing are the afore mentioned Mech Commander 2, and the original MechWarrior.

But a very nice collection none the less.

Ah, MechWarrior 3. I had no idea what awaited. Hey, kiddie, here, have a balloon. No, no, your first one is free kiddie. Have fun! See you soon! ... (and often).

Wish there was an easy way to get MW3 + PM installed and working w/o bugs ... easily ... on xp and later. It makes me wonder if I can dual-boot XP and '95 on this laptop.

mech commander 2 is now free to get at microsoft.

also my MW3 cd looks entirely different, it is in a goldish matte brown. with a black Timberwolf front profile on it. But I couldn't find any pics on google for it.

I played MW3 right there (that exact disc) when I was 3 years old on a SideWinder Joystick. It was awesome. Thumbs up if you still play these games.

Uggh I am getting old.... that was almost 20 years ago.... I remember getting it, my final year in High School...

Old pc's are cheapish. I have a 486 in the dungeon that I run MW1 and the Crescent Hawk games on.

Played all of 2, still have Mercenaries, the Clan ones had too little content for me.

Tried 3 but never got it

Never got 4

Did some of MC1 & all of MC2. Custom stuff was OK.

Did all of MW1, that had a storyline!

I started on MW3 while I was on my first deployment in the navy. Picked it up in Kuala Limpur. Was stone cold addicted and had a huge crush on the bushwacker and black hawk. Then came MW4 where the Uzeil and Mustang became the target of my obsession. Mmmmm Mustang.......

In there somewhere though I was neck deep in MC and MC2. I miss MC2 really. Had it working for a little while on my W7-64bit but then something went screwy. Hasnt run right since.

Ahh the good ole days.

Crap I'm old....

I can't get Mechwarrior 3 to play properly anymore, I have a Radeon card and it just sends APCs and my own mech into the sky randomly. None of the purported fixes out there seem to work :(

Mechwarrior 2 came out about a year or two after my brothers and I first started playing BattleTech (in middle school), so I definitely have fond memories of it! Fortunately DosBox runs it just fine.

I remember Mechwarrior 2.... It was installed on an old 98 machine at my Highschool that I fooled around with. It was my intro to the BT universe. Im still after a copy/good download link so I can re-live the glory days of yore.

I have a copy of [redacted] Mechcommander that I also downloaded and am trying to get to work.

I love MW4. So fun :)

you should not admit those things publicly, you know?

I loved MechCommander quite a lot. I have a couple of copies and I wanted to play it on the LAN with my son but the installer kept detecting Windows NT, even on Win98 VMs and it requires IPX/SPX for LAN play without hitting MPlayer (RIP) servers.

Assuming it hasn't been tossed out, I know where the copy of Mechwarrior 4, Black Knight, and my old Sidewinder joystick are. I just gotta to have an awkward conversation to get them (and a bunch of stuff I haven't seen in eight years) back.

Mechcommander was really my first intro to online gaming other than those few AOL games I played. Mplayer was actually a pretty good interface for the time. Anyone else play in the Starlance leagues?

I still have my original Sidewinder Precision Pro joystick. It's a little sloppy, but still works.

I used to own most of those in that picture, except for the MW4 Clan pack.

My good buddy in real life, you know him as Bishop Steiner, took them with him when he moved out of town. I have him to thank for getting me back into MW:O.
