With the abysmal quality of much of the current player base, that is a 100% certainty.

2. Daym, dat rotatable view
Now onto the gritty;
1. The map looks like it could be really linear, will the maps be expanded to have less linear objectives or different modes for attack e.g. destroy fuel depot/hold base etc etc...
2. The names for the faction map overlap (a minor gripe really, but something worth considering), might want to scale them down or have a threshold where they vanish if they overlap too much. Not sure how much this will happen for minor planets etc.
On another note - the 30 sec delay on dropship looks set to lead to some really cool immersion - can they be staggered so that you do not have 3 dropships all at once? Like a 10sec space between each one?

i guess the dropdeck-screen willl not be in the main menu of game so you dont have to "leave" the map and then load it again..

Can the next map please be a gaint starport ! This could even be used in CW as the Starports are typically of high strategic value.

Outstanding idea!
Walking in and among the landing struts of an Overlord Dropship...
...I would be tempted to stop for a Mech-Selfie / screen capture!

I'd much rather see contract times as 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, and permanent... and as has been mentioned I too want a Starport map and other objectives after phase 2 releases.
Man, those pictures are delicious! Awesome progress guys. Keep it up!

why should it? i don´t get your point tbh...
i drive mostly heavies, too... better said, i prefere to drive them... but i also have no trouble with creating a dropdeck that is more "flexible"... so that´s that

Drop ships having god mode is irrelevant, these things have atleast about 50 tons of armor (1600 points) spread out between 3 locations (about 534 points of armor per location). To put this into perspective an atlas has 19 tons of armor (608 points) spread out between 11 locations and is very tanky. The only way you would even put a dent in these things is if they stayed on the ground for prolonged time periods and even then their armament is strong enough to turn anything into swiss cheese, so... yeah stay away.
That said it would be pretty cool if you could desrtoy the enemy dropship and cut off al their reenforcements,

I'd just prefer loyalty for affiliated members to escalate based on length of service. Similar to how things are for jobs, military today. You stay in for 1 month, you get bumped to the next loyalty reward level, 6 months, another bump. Forcing us to decide up front makes this feel harder than it needs to be.
For Pirates and/or Mercs, they should simply get reputation with their respective faction for completing missions for (mercs) or against (pirates) the big houses. That rep would offer them benefits appropriate (ie. black market or Wolf Dragoon's/Outreach/etc)
Simple and people wouldn't have to worry about committing to a given faction for x weeks, months, days. Just jump in and play with consequences should you change, benefits should you remain loyal. Simple...

I think it'll be great, but wonder how long matches with 24 warriors x 4 mechs (96 total) each may drag out, especially with increased reasons to use more tactics and stay alive longer. 1+ hr long matches could be likely.
This could really cause issues for folks who may have gaming time budgets.
Is a Quick Raid mode a possibility? It could essentially just be the traditional Assault mode/maps and a Raid drop would only count for say, 0.5-1 CW token in the war for a planetary asset, whereas Dropship mode wins could count for 3-4 CW Tokens...

Russ Bullock @russ_bullock 11m not out the gate for sure. Not sure how long they will take, guessing around 20-25 mins, will have good idea by end of week
I don't think matches will only be 5-10 minutes longer than they currently are... but... whatever. My proposal would be a pretty quick fix post-CW launch if required.
