Add "immovable" bonus armor (like on the Hunchback's hump) to all Torso locations. +25 to CT and ST including rear. :)

give it -20% from all damage quirk. bonus armor would be useless, just would take away more tonnage that it needs for weapons.

I posted this in another thread - it's the same problem with any / all of the stand-up mechs, exaggerated by the slow ones.

They are nifty, they pack some firepower but ultimately they are too easy to burn down.

I reckon the CN9-D's LB10X-AC quirk on the AS7-D would bring the Atlas right back into the competition.

Here's some ideas. Bad or not I don't know.

[General Chassis]
+7.5% speed
Decel / Accel bonus
Increased Arm and Leg armor
Reduced Heat for all weapon types (so it can output larger amount of DPS)

[AS7-K]
Range Quirk on all 3 weapon types (energy, ballistic, missiles) instead of specific weapon or weapon type.

Armour quirks are weightless.

Resurrected thread perhaps, but still very relevant. The Atlas is less and less useful as with each passing month.

Armor quirks could be the answer...

Or kapusta11's weapon additions. :)

I drive a DDC since starting right when open beta came. It was my go to grind mech with a few million xp on it.. Now I am mastering Dires and crabs and they both without the extra module slot are my go to grind mechs far above and beyond the Atlas.

I think they need to open up both torsos to ballistics. The one torso ballistic is their greatest weakness. I aim for that torso before any other and so does anyone else who has been playing longer than a week.

It's not all about weapons.
