Desperately bad piloting by cattra to make the crab look like it could eat all assaults alive for advertisment purposes, check.

I wonder why they used such terrible builds, especially for the DW. Were they afraid Cattra has to hold fire even more obvious to make Sean look good if they used a non trash build?
I really dislike the way they made the video. It almost feels like the KC was not able to perform the way everyone expects it to and they tried to hide it by making it play against trash builds that don't even fight back. The video definitely doesn't do justice to the KC.
Yeah I noticed this myself but as to why they did this, it is hard to say. Keep in mind they might have just been looking to run 3-4 quick matches for advertisement purposes to showcase the mech and didn't want to have to play 20 matches to get 3 promo quality ones. Also it wasn't suppose to be a test to see which mechs were best so you really can't expect too much out of them.

I can only shake my head regarding the balancing. The king crab get quirks beside it seems that it will be the best IS assault?
This thing clearly tops any Victor but still, Victor get no quirks?
Honestly it may need the quirks to balance it against the Dire Wolf. Seriously, we already know that the Dire Wolf is hands down better than any current IS assault and the King Crab is supposed to be the Answer to the Dire Wolf. It is pretty obvious that PGIs goal is going to be to balance it around matching up against a Dire Wolf and that to do that it is going to have to be the best IS Assault.

I have to say that I'm not thrilled with the variants / hardpoints. 10 hardpoints feels a bit excessive and the 000, 000B, and 0000 are all essentially identical. I'm dissapointed that we don't seem to be getting the 010 with an energy hardpoint in both torsos, or the 001 with even more missiles.
As far as Hardpoints, again keep in mind the KC is suppose to match up head-to-heat with the Dire Wolf which I believe also has 10 hardpoints. As far as the variants, I too wish they would have included the other variants with more variation. I mean aside from a few people who want to play a gimmick mech with 6 AC/2s I doubt many will be using all 6 ballistic hardpoints on the 000. On the other hand, the lack of variation means you can not be guilty about selling off the extra two variants when once you get the one you want to keep mastered.
