LOL.. Now that I think about it...
PGI kept saying there were going to look into lasers hit detection only after CW....

Maybe they knew it was going to hit rock bottom terrible so, they didn't want to do a double job. :mellow:

Hitreg is almost non-existent now.

lasers are the worst. Hits don't register even on slow assaults.

Have hit detection problem as well. Mist Lynx used JJ right in front of me and I had to aim above its head to register any hit. Needless to say, I had to aim at empty space in front of light mechs to register any kind of hit when they were moving fast. And this was with lasers.

I've never complained about HitReg until now. My ping usually floats around 20, and I'm usually pretty good at leading targets when using Ballistic weapons or SRMS.

It is SO bad now. You know it's broken when you have to fire hitscan weapons ahead of targets to do any damage at all.

Hitreg does seem to have been getting steadily worse lately. I long for the good old days right after the SRM fixes, hitreg was so much better then (and it was considered still somewhat bad). Pretty sure CW made everything take a back seat, though, so hopefully this will be ironed out in January.

I'm noticing that ballistics are much worse than energy weapons, but all need work.

Also, as the match progresses it appears to be getting more lag.

Yes even with ballistic weapons I have been within 20 meters shooting twin AC 20's dead center for 0 damage.

Oh Troutmonkey what are you using for game video capture?

what hit detection? you guys trying to say when i put a lazor on target its supposed to do dmg? .... PGI something on this would be much appreciated across the community!!

Well no kidding. Even if this game had no unlag compensation you would barely have to lead hitscan weapons. It's definitly a sign that even you are having issues now.

Currently I feel obligated to use auto-aimed weapons, ie streaks and lrms, because those are server controlled so at least I know it will hit its mark.

And there's the fact that hitreg makes defending against a Light Mech zerg rush in CW 500% more difficult.

It's like my weapons are always firing for minimum damage...if and when they hit. Without regard for how close or far away I am from the target.

Pulse lasers actually seem to be worse off than regular. Just had match going toe to toe with a Cicada where he was running Med and I was running Med Pulse. I landed multiple direct hits (went frame by frame after to check) that just did not register. He took my leg :/
