Cool! And... some more 2 weeks for the Phoenix Hawk announcement?

BTW, Steam release, December 10. Origins IIC, December 15. Star Wars Episode VII, December 17. Who needs Christmas?

I wouldn't say no to an Archer announcement in December (it's definitely one of my TT go-to mechs along with the Thunderbolt, Phoenix Hawk and Crusader). That said, I'm rooting for a Phoenix Hawk first, alternately a Crusader if they insist on another Heavy.

But Phoenix Hawk is the right answer to all relevant questions about life, the universe and everything.

It certainly has a lot of fans!

I want it badly, but I think PGI will "reserve" it for a Project Phoenix II.

Heh! did I miss something

Well, it is the forth most popular Macross heavy... and it has a nobrainer hero mech.
It would be absolutely no surprise to see it in the next standalone pack. ;)

Haven't really seen any indication of the return of the Jumbo Pack, and Russ has at least mildly acknowledged that there has been some grumbling against them. So let's just say that I truly hope we never see a Phoenix II, ot Origins II, or Wave IV, etc.

The Urbie, Marauder, Whammie and Wiffleman have been nice departures over the obnoxious jumbo packs of the last year and a half, and I hope it stays that way.

Also, overall popularity aside, I hope if they do go Heavy, it's the Crusader, which is a lot more interesting a mech than the Archer, with full weapon type representation, versions with JJs, etc. Also, likely, far better hitboxes.

amen to that!!! Probably the only unseen model I actually really want to see left beside the Phoenix Hawk, is that 3L.

Insider knowledge? I have none, unfortunately. :(
But I'm trying to get "inside" the devs minds since June 2012.

Some guy once posted here a great analysis of the Macross Unseen variants, but I can't find his post, so I'm starting all over again (with the lights). Suggested hardpoints after inflation on [].

First, the iconic 20 tonner Wasp. Alongside with the Locust, this is the most common light mech of the universe (by 3039, 1 in 5 IS light mechs are Wasps).

Second is the Stinger, same tonnage of the Wasp (also too similar?), and another extremely common chassis:

The last one is the least impressive of the bunch, the Valkyrie. Still, it could be a good addition to the game: a jumping missile boat of 30 tons. EDIT: now the Javelin was included, the Valkyrie is less necessary.

If PGI releases only one of these light mechs for now, I'm convinced it will be the Wasp.

I hope they pick the Javelin over the Valkyrie, it's obviously the better mech and would do more for the game.

While I agree Javelin is a better mech, Javelin is not a Macross Unseen. Don't you want to bury for good the Unseen issue and bring all those important chassis back to the Battletech universe? I certainly want.

I would like to see it WITH a working hatchet. (there is not much point in adding the Hatchetman without the hatchet).

This would be a great pack when PGI adds melee (when, not if):

- Light: Scarabus
- Medium: Hatchetman
- Heavy: Axman
- Assault: Berserker

Now that is a good plan.

After all, PGI will need light mechs for the next years, right?

I got into the game with MW3 & 4, I don't really have an attachment to the unseen. Some of them are cool and/or have cool characters that piloted them (Phoenix Hawk & Justin Liao) but otherwise I only see a mediocre mech.

The Valkyrie will more or less fill the same roll as the Javelin but it won't add as much to gameplay as the Javelin would. It's like the Lancelot versus the Rifleman. The Lancelot is obviously the better mech but because the Rifleman is an unseen, it got added. At least it was an important unseen. The Valkyrie isn't. When asked what unseen they want next, no one asks for the Valkyrie. You admitted it's the least important unseen. Did you even remember it before I brought it up?

Basically, I'd like the better mech that adds more to gameplay to be added. In this case, that's the Javelin.
