Confucius says: "He who chases quirks for fulfilment, will be empty."

Never chase quirks, they are subject to change.

If they made the Orion like a mini atlas I'd be using it but prior to these quirks the Black Knight felt like that as well as having badass fire power with not bad hard points.

considering it's overwhelming offensive capability, GOOD. A mech is not THE Tier 1 MetaMech without being OP. SO you have a choice, reign in the firepower (hard ot do with that many hardpoints, see mr stalker) or reduce tankiness.

THis needed doing.

Loadout-wise, the Hatamoto is indeed different. But looks-wise, the Hatamoto is just a Charger with a samurai head.

Charger variants will/would be a lot of fun!

OK, it has a more slim body... (which is weird for a better armored mech)

not weird at all since FASA art was less consistent than a backpedaling politician.

IMO, slim lining the Charger makes sense. Everyone knows the Hatamoto got it to take advantage of the gundam craze of the 90s.

I don't mind it tbh, my play style doesn't rely on weathering to much damage anyway.

Had my first three games, first I scouted with a Hunch 4G but speed wasn't quite there and I got tore to shreds, next two times I swapped to an Wolverine 6R with three srms, ac 5 and a small laser and won both games, the first game defending the extraction as the enemy tried to extract, the second we extracted but I died. It was quick all three times though.

I think skill wise being fast won't be the be all end all, you may be able to pick up things quickly but if your enemy has a couple of heavy mediums sat on the extraction point it'll be difficult to get them off it.

Did you go loyalist?

If so, do you know if those scoutingnruns are counting against your probation requirement?

I am loyalist but I don't know if they counted or not, I didn't notice any indications but I do know I didn't get any LP for doing them.

Thanks!

This seems like a nice option for knocking out those probationary matches quickly, if so :D

I didn't see that coming!

Next IS mech, the Cyclops!

Posted Image
It not only looks great, but:
"All Cyclops variants come equipped with a Tacticon B-2000 Battle Computer in place of the standard Sensor suite.
This Battle Computer boosts the Sensor Range of not just the Cyclops, but any allied 'Mechs within range."

Monocular Mech Making Mercs Merry?

https://mwomercs.com/cyclops

Check out the potential variety on the chassis due to the hardpoints 0.o

Edit: Ninja'd by the OP himself! Well played Sir, well played. Also, called it!

Is the hero the mech of the Ariana Winston? Looks more of a Rasalhague mech (because of the Nordic mythological horse). And what about the "malocchio" writing? This is some sort of "curse", or "jinx" in Italian, right?

Where is Strum when we need him? ;)

Same story as with BLR-2C. They elected not to retrofit the variant for an ECM hardpoint.

The Eridani's homeworld during their founding wasTrondheim which was owned by the Draconis but was space viking themed and would eventually be part of the FFR.
