Tall is not always a bad thing. So stop whining about it.
It would probably be shorter than the Arctic Cheetah, a mech that people still scream OP! about because their shots keep slipping into the gaps.

Nope. ACH is wide. Piranha is not. Piranha will be taller. And taller is bad unless your name is Battlemaster. Taller means people see you about to poke and will be shooting in your direction before your weapons can clear the hill.

WHIIIIIINE!....WHIIIINE!

What did I just say?

Wolfhound is about as wide as the ACH.
So your own choice of mech for comparison proves your own point wrong
In other words
Point. Moot.
Now please stop whining about tall mechs.

ACH is also a 30 tonner, or did you forget that?

GASP! You are right!

So a 20 tonner that (by your own admission!) shares similar porportions MUST be bigger!
Now that we have gotten past that bit of sarcasm.

Any other posts you want to make that undermine your own whining?

And when exactly did I say it would be taller than the Wolfhound? I mentioned that it had similar proportions to it, so it would be too tall to be of any real use to anyone. I never said it would be taller than the Wolfhound. I also never brought up the comparison between the Wolfhound and the ACH.

Proving that I cannot read any better than I can argue!

And when exactly did I claim you did?

You DID however, claim it would be taller than the ACH
I argued that it would not, as the ACH and WLF share similar porportions (the width for one)
A fact that you have failed to (or refused to even try to?) counter.

I did, by pointing out that A) the ACH is a 30 tonner while the Wolfhound is a 35 tonner, and B) the ACH has a wide, flat body while the Piranha has a skinny body, meaning that the Piranha will in fact be taller. Doesn't matter that the ACH is ten tons heavier. The Dragon is 25 tons heavier than the Wolfhound yet the Wolfhound is slightly taller than it.

DUUR.
Fat mechs!!
How DARE they be shorter!

Points you threw out the window when you pointed out the Pirhana will probably share porportions to the WLF....
Which shares porportions with the ACH.

Hence my comparison to the Locust and the Jenner.
Locust is how much smaller than the Jenner?

Locust 20 tons
Pirhana 20 tons

WLF 35 tons
JR7 35 tons

If as you claim the Pirhana will share porportions with the WLF...
It will be exactly like comparing the LCT to the JR7

I see you failed to grasp what I meant by "proportions". My apologies. You should have asked what I meant rather than lashing out. What I meant by proportions was in terms of how it's volume is spread out. Skinny body, skinny limbs, and a protruding head all add up to make for a very tall mech, almost too tall to be of any real use outside of the occasional troll round or as a tonnage filler in CW, just like the pre-rescale Locust.

I will say ANYTHING that supports my right to whine

I see you have failed to actually put the WLF and ACH side by side.

Edit:
changed to something more polite

Edited Edit: Borrowing a friend's screenshots (as I cannot play right now)
https://steamuserima...70A75EDB0D8057/

https://steamuserima...F6270A45C2CAB8/

Both look about as skinny in the torso (WLF being larger of course)
Both look about as skinny in the arms (even more so for the ACH once you take those launcher's off)
Torso is even shaped almost exactly the same (aside from the ACH shoulders - with the lasers)

So how do they not share porportions?
What did you think I thought you meant?
Or are you still openly determined to prove your own arguments to be nothing but infantile whining?

You did it, Requiem. You insisted so much on your favorite (salty) subject that people start losing it.

I believe after so many posts you made your point and see - people either don't agree or don't care with your grudge with the volumetric scaling. Now please, let's move on to something different, preferably in the topic's subject.

Pre-rescale Locust was actually in a really good place pre-rescale.

This is all the light mechs next to each other.

This, is an estimated outcome for the size of the Piranha, based on the size of the Panther vs the Jenner (using the shape of the Javelin for the 'skeleton')

Go easy on him.. he's had a tough couple weeks with the MadCat mkII not being the DoA mech he kept insisting it would be. You know when your whole belief system is tossed on it's head, it takes time to unscramble one's equilibrium....

I would figure it to be about the the height of the Commando, but with more slender proportions, maybe between the Javelin and Spider.

Yup, and this estimate puts it about the size of the commando funnily enough.

Posted Image

I'd be *very* surprised if it was much taller than the Spider at worst tbh.
So similar idea.
