[FLG 01]

From the perspective of the receiving end... mass MG is pretty much exactly what I expected: a terror in late-game, relatively impotent in early and mid-game. Without armour you are just a victim and there is little you can do. With armour you can almost ignore them.

As such it seems (I don't own such a Mech, so I can only speculate) the mass MG Mechs are a team asset, depending on the team to open the components and then saw them away. And if the team can do that, they can do their job extremely well. They also seem quite good at kill stealing for the very same reason.
But without such team support...

Now we just need an IS Mech (preferably 40-45 tons) with that many ballistic HP. Any suggestions?

Well, just ran a couple of games with the MLX hero. First round with stock loadout was very meh. Don't get me wrong, its a pretty fair build, after all, it is basically the butt goblin build. It's just not my cup of tea. So I switched over to quad ERMicros and a pair of ATM3s with a TC1, and that was much more my style. Got one round on frozen city where I somehow managed to score over 300 damage, and the second round I got caught badly out of position and got chased around River City by a Shadow Cat P.

I disagree the Pinion is serviceable, the Vulcan just looks like it fell out of the ugly tree, hit every branch on the way down only to have the tree then land on it....

I mean everything from the looks to the load out is just... wrong...

It's an infantry support unit that uses an AC/2 in the most common variant.....

Has anyone else been blown away by the sheer ferocity of the Gargoyle-E? The Gargoyles generally got some badly needed armor buffs, and I haven't had a lot of time to try most of them out, but the E variant, even in it's stock build, was pumping out at least 450 damage a game for me, win or lose, and and even peaked around the 900 mark within my first 3 matches with it.

It's a chassis that most people love to hate, but I think it has finally come into its own and may finally gain some well deserved appreciation.

Gargoyle was an absolute beast before the small (pulse) laser nerf. Good to know it's back on top (will try the new omnipods later).

The 10 ER small + 1medium pulse is still a very solid build, but the E offers more range and gives a much more dynamic mech that can cause damage in a much wider set of ranges. I ended up making some small adjustments but kept the spirit of the stock build (smaller atm, streak srm racks) so that I could max the armor and add a DHS. Even with the slightly smaller weapons, it is brutally effective.

Hot yes, but murders most things from behind fast. I'm no stranger to running hot builds, I like to use PPC's after all.

After looking at the build you posted, I'd go with cASRM/4's I like the grouping and recycle times better on them over the 6's.

None can beat the versatility of Raptor (there are even optional jumpjets from the Config. F).

As an alternative, I would go for Nexus/Jackrabbit. Mongoose is cool, but too similar to the Commando (energy + missile).

Brigand is too obscure.
