An unconventionally bold choice like the Vapor Eagle, Stooping Hawk or Rabid Coyote would get my attention, but the current favourites like Black Lanner or Hellhound don't appeal to me very much.

Compare the Stooping Hawk to the Black Lanner for example. Sure, the latter is probably the superior Mech, but it is also similar to the Stormcrow in its mission profile (fast heavy Medium), relying on mobility and firepower. The Black Lanner shifts the balance somewhat more to the mobility.
The Stooping Hawk however is radically different design: relatively slow, without being too slow, and extremely durable. Give it defensive quirks and you got a Mech that plays a lot different compared to your usual Clan mediums.

Again, it's probably not the best 55t Clan Mech - that would be the Vapor Eagle imo - but it represents a style I would love to try on the Clans.

I think it's a darn funny image! Also, it's not the ugliest rendition.
Of the canon renditions, two are acceptable, one is awkward, and one is ugly. That one is the awkward rendition (I think you can see why...).

Yep, the TDR-10SE is cool. I personally would love the PXH-7S, it's like the current PXH-3S - just with useful hardpoints.

In fact I would buy reinforcement packs for real money if they were offered. PXH-7S, MAD-9M, or ZEU-9WD would be must-buy units for me. If the price is ok I can imagine I would not be the only one...

Haha I was talking about Masc equipped variants of mechs in game and that I'd buy a reinforcement pack like the Grfn 2N. FLG expanded on that.

By the way... offering those reinforcement packs for real money might also finance a speed-up of the new weapon retrofits for 'older' Mechs. It's a shame that all the new spiffy weapon models are not visible on many Mechs.
