Ok Bishop, how many Urbanmech K9's do I need to sacrifice to the mech gods in order to get a Rifleman IIC out of your art style?

comes down to who commissions what.... I actually do have something in the works, but you won't like it, since it's General Roderick Steiner, in a ProPho RFL-IIC. No clue when It'll get finished being a non commission, it's low priority. *shrugs*

I'm largely actively getting away from the MWO style, but depends on what the client asks for.

Nah, I like Roderick Steiner as a character and his custom Rifleman IIC 3. Whenever it came to anything IS, I've always sided with house Steiner since besides clan Ghost Bear have always shared my kind of values.

odd that, I don't recall him using ACs in the Anvil, could have sworn he used 4x LPL.... I need to re-read or bug Blaine about specifics, maybe.

Always just wanted a base IIC but with an XL 260.

It will likely be awhile.

The more they wait, the less they will sell (unless they want to make a MW5 tie-in).

Not necessarily. After all, there were direct posts in the livestream (still present in the Twitch archive) about people being happy for the wait. Purportedly -and quite possibly true, considering the whales keep the game going- there are people saying the wait for a new mech would allow them to "catch up" on mechs they had and/or wanted to purchase.

Besides, back before the Clans really set the monthly mech releases in motion, PGI did just fine with a mech release every 2-4 months; and that wasn't even mech packs. I think they'll do just fine if they go back to that kind of release schedule. If anything, the fact that PGI has grown their mech art team more than any other team in the company just pushed the need for monthly mech releases that much more . . . as well as making them overall less profitable (more salaries = more overhead = less profit).

On the other hand, yeah, I do expect that the next mech to have some kind of MW5 tie-in to help encourage sales. I still think throwing in a DLC code with purchase of the collector's packs for future mechs would be a great business strategy for them.

As for release, Russ already said NOT June . . . but if they wait until August then they'll only have barely over a month to make sales for any sort of MW5 tie-in. Early to Mid July for an announcement, maybe? Possibly parallel it with the ability to start Steam Pre-orders? Seems reasonable.

I think you are getting him confused for one of his lance mates, lol. I forget the woman's name since it's been awhile since I read Fire At Will, but she was the one that used the Anvil while Roderick used his Rifleman IIC to provide command and support for his lance. I think I recall a few chapters where her and Roderick would get into arguments about how reckless she was in her mech.

"the Anvil" is the name of the novella?

Roderick used his RFL-IIC in it but the way it was written sounded like a 4x LPL model

this novella was a good read until that ************* ***** of those **** eating parrots did this stupid unbelievable DFA.
if it would have been a real book i would have thrown it through the train.

did consider to buy Shattered Fortress Source Book but nothing below the total erasing of those parrots could clear the stain, that is not going to happen so I keep my sanity and don't want to know other exploits of those chickens.

heck i even get angry just while typing... and its even fiction...

I forget. It's post Dark Age, so between 3145 and 3150. Also, blink and you'll miss it, but I'm one of the Jade Falcon Star Captains in the book.

There's also the most recent novel, Forever Faithful, that takes place in the 3060s, to fill some gaps. But I guess anything no written in the 90s and taking place pre Jihad is going ot upset people. *eyeroll*

https://www.amazon.c...tal-text&sr=1-3

a long with a Wolf's Dragoons novella dropping this year, and a major full length novel of unspecified details.

next time Blaine is asking for names, volunteer? Of course, you may end up a street name, a Capellan janitor or a sociopath, but such is the price of fame. ;)

gotta say, love me some MWO mechs... but in some areas.... gotta lean to the new CGL designs. New TT Thunderbolt? Pure epic win.

CGL Thud looks alright, but being used to MWO designs it also looks like a deformed PGI Warhammer.

Hell no, but buy - do you see that Laser - that my friends that is a Laser.... not that castrated stump at the MWO Thud.... the only reason I run a PPC instead of a laser.... (do I need to compensate? Don't think so - but a Thud without a big bore killer lamp is not a Thud.

But Bish? I know you hate Liaos, but shouldn't be the Thud be a Liao and the poor JM6 a Davion coffin?
